After natural miscarriage

I had a natural miscarriage Feb. 9th.  I was 14.5weeks measuring 10.5wks.  My partner and I have had unprotected sex ever since.  We have always let "nature take it's course, what is meant to be will be."  I am wondering now, I have not had my period which I know can take up to 12 weeks to come, but my hormone level one week after the miscarriage was at 20.  I am wondering what the chances are that I could be pregnant again, and when to test.  I am eager to test but am scared at the same time. Has anyone else tested around 4 weeks after a miscarriage and indeed confirmed a new pregnancy?

What a cute story!  I read recently about a 4(?) y/o boy who "died" in surgery (i think) and came back.  Later, he told his parents about going to heaven and meeting his baby sister in heaven, a baby his mom had miscarried before he was born.  He had no way to have known about her, yet he described her and in detail how they played together.   Anyway, it just reminded me -- in a way-- of your story, and i definitely like to think of my lost babies playing in heaven, as I know they are.  I hope your daughter is right--- wouldn't that be amazing??  I do believe that some people have a "gift" of knowing things like that.

Well AF came in full force about an hour after my last post, so right on queue, 14 dpo.  My gosh, this has to be the heaviest period I have ever had!  It almost feels as though I going through a miscarriage again!  Anyway I spoke to my ob/gyn today and she told me that it is quite common to have a really heavy period after miscarrying, so that is fine.  I am just more concerned about spotting so early post ovulation.  She is going to monitor my progestorone levels after next ovulation just to make sure that they are not too low.  Hoping that everything will be back to normal soon :)

JenLex - I hope that your beautiful daughter is right with this one :)  Keep us posted...

Thank you jenkaye21, I know my levels reached zero shortly after the m/c, the last blood draw i had was about  week later and my level was at 20.    so just waiting for AF or a BFP.... either way I would like something to happen :)
I have to share this with you- our first U/S showed us our healthy baby at 9.5 weeks (Jan 4th) my daughter at  20months was so interested and alwasy wanted to "listen" to the baby :) she would always try and pull up my shirt and rub my belly or when we layed down she would put her head on my belly and talked about the baby all the time.  A week later she quit asking to listen and no longer was interested.  She told me the baby was all gone.  as a 20month old i figured she was just no longer interested.  In fact was was RIGHT.  the baby was gone we didn't find out until a month later.  She knew all along.  After the baby passed we talked about it and the baby was in heaven , she told me "baby nice, baby was broken" again she was right the unbilical cord tore and our baby passed away.  My daughter and I have a very close relationship and i can't help but think she DID know...... she was correct every time.
Last night she then told me out of the blue "mommy baby in belly."  I can't help but smile and wonder - does she know again?!?!??!?!!?  Could it be?!
I also have noticed that my breasts are leaking.  they didn't leak at all during my pregnancy, not even after the m/c and now the last two days they have been secreting, is this a good sign or could this be because of the m/c my breasts were back to reg. size before i m/c i just thought i was losing weight :(, so i'm not sure whats going on.

I've had 3 m/c, 2 natural and one d&c.  WIth my second natural m/c, it took 4-6 weeks (not exactly sure when I miscarried, as I didn't know I was pregnant that time) for my hcg levels to reach zero.  I had bloodwork done each week, and it fell verrry  slowly.  But-- I got pregnant again, based on a "conception calculator", within ONE week of my levels reaching zero, and went on to have a normal pregnancy and a perfectly healthy baby boy.  Best wishes!!

Hi Ladies,

Well I have had a very strange start to my first cycle.  So I had a bit of spotting 7dpo, then it stopped.  At this stage I thought that it may have been implantation bleeding but then I started spotting again 3 days later and it's been that way ever since. I am just waiting for it to start getting heavier as today was the day that my actual AF was due according to my 'normal' cycle, but who knows what is normal anymore post mc!?!  Off to see my ob/gyn tomorrow just to chat to her about it and see if she can shed any light on what is happening.  Anyway would love to hear how you ladies get on in future, maybe we can wait out our next 2ww together :).  JenLex - Fingers crossed still for a BFP!

Hi Laides! Just wanted to update you both. My AF has finally arrived! I am a bit disappointed but relieved at the same time! AF arrived without too much of a warning.. no cramping, my breasts were only mildly sore here and there. Other than that.. the ususal PMS didn't set it which was great! LoL. I did notice my bleeding is heavier than a normal period but other than that all is well. Hubby and I will start ttc after the blood is gone :-)  I hope you two are doing well and crossing my fingers for BFP for the both of you! xoxo

looks as if we all have alot in common!  I hope the best for you both and will continue to check on ya both ;)  I have had a lot of CM so we will see what happens in the next few weeks.  Today was our 1month anniversary, we talked about it quite a bit as a coupole and with my daughter (will be 2 in may)  she told me the week the baby passed away that the baby was gone, the weeks before she was so interested in my belly and trying to "listen" for the baby, then no interest at all it just ended, I once asked her where the baby is she she told me "baby nice, baby broken" and hugged me.  She knew before we even had a clue.  Today we lit two infinity candles to represent our gone but not forgotten baby.  Each month i will light the infinity candles in remembrance.  Keep me posted ladies on how you are doing and hoping for a BFP for you both!!! much love, Jen

Hi Ladies,

I too had a natural miscarriage on the 11th of Feb.  I passed everything and the Dr gave me the all clear.  I did a HPT after bleeding stopped and it was negative.  I know I ovulated 16 days after (start) of miscarriage.  Anyway I started spotting a few days ago, but this is only 7 days post ovulation, very weird!  Anyway I am still waiting for AF to arrive as well... the waiting is killing me.  anyway would love to hear how you both go.  Best of luck!

I hope the best for you! It's a hard thing to go through (miscarriage) and then wonder for weeks if you could possibly be pregnant again.  I too know my levels were clear so if i do take a hpt and it is positive it would be a new pregnancy.  keep me posted as to how you are doing and what you find out!! much baby dust to you!!

I am in the same situation as you JenLex! I had my miscarriage the first week of February as well and have yet to see my period. The doctor confirmed a couple days after the miscarriage that everything had passed. I took a hpt test 3 weeks after the miscarraige and it was negative so I know for sure my hcg levels are back to 0. I am waiting the full 6 weeks before I take another hpt... the wait is killing me though! LOL so until my AF arrives, I will wonder if I could possibly be pregnant but I will try to wait it out.. patiently...
