Am I having a miscarriage?

I found out I was pregnant on February 15th, 2018. My LMP was January 6th, 2018. On February 18th I went into the ER due to slight cramps and spotting, and they were ruling out ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage. The drew blood and my beta hcg level was at 9,900 and two days (February 20th) later it dropped to 9,400. Today (February 22) we went in for a vaginal ultrasound and they saw an 8 mm empty gestational sac. Am I miscarrying?

I am so sorry!  The gestational sac issue of looking empty is not uncommon in early pregnancy but the dropping of your HCG is not a good sign.  Are they testing that number again?  What does your doctor say?  hugs

Sadly I did miscarry before they were able to check my level again at my next appointment, late last night. But I'm trying to be positive. Thank you.
I am so very VERY sorry for your loss.  Do stay positive, the vast majority of women go on to have a baby after miscarriage without issue. hugs
