Can you get pregnant a week after a d&c

If I was trying to conceive a week after my d&c what is the chances of me having another miscarriage?

hi my wife is abt to go for DnC as doctor wants to determine cause for her not getting pregnent, pls advice if its a corrective measure n step.

Depends on if your body was healed properly or not. You're also risking infection having sex so soon after a D&C. I believe they say you should wait at least two weeks before inserting anything. Most doctors will recommend you wait at least 1-3 cycles to allow your uterus to heal and the lining to build up. Without a decent amount of lining on the uterus, your body can't sustain a pregnancy. It's your choice of course if you want to try, but your doctor would be the best to advise you on anything.

It's not probable that you would ovulate so soon after a d&c. Your hormones have to get back to normal and then you have to ovulate. It's not impossible though. If you're body is ready, it should be fine. I've heard of people getting pregnant before their period after a miscarriage so if you do, you'll probably be fine. My doctor said that it should not increase the chances of miscarriage but I know others disagree. Anyway, try not to worry and just let your body do what it does.
