Conceiving after miscarriage

I conceived july 2011 and found out I misscarried in september. I miscarried around 5 weeks and didn't know it til 10 weeks when the ultrasound showed no heartbeat. This was my first pregnancy, and I would like to try again. I had to have a D&C to remove the pregnancy september 29th, 5 weeks later I started my period and I am suppose to ovulate soon. My question is are my chances of conceiving without miscarrage good? Should I get pregnant easily?  I didn't have any complications from the surgery and the tissue was examined and it didnt have any problems. It was a normal miscarriage where it just didn't grow right.

I just had a miscarriage on Nov 24 2011. I too want to try again ASAP but my Mom said to wait 3 to 4 months to give your body time to heal. She has known many people who have had miscarriages and then had healthy babies and they all waited 4 months to try again. The people that got pregnant again the next 1 to 2 months after the miscarriage wound up miscarrying again. I have decided I am going to wait until March and try for a 12/12/12 baby! I hope it works as I also learned I have a bicornuate uterus but the hospital said its a possible septate uterus. It's all do upsetting shocking and frustrating as I thought my entire life and have been told my entire life that my body is shaped to be able to hold a baby. Guess its not!

I had a miscarriage mid sept/2011 then got pregnant the first ovulation after the m/c in october, exactly 4 weeks after the m/c. Unfortunately that one miscarried as well. I'd like to try again asap, but don't know if i should wait for a regular period first...

Sorry for your loss, hopefully things will happen for you soon :)

I'm sorry you went through this.  To answer your question, your odds of having a second loss are no higher then they were before you had one.  Many many women have a first trimester miscarriage, and go on to have a normal and healthy pregnancy the next time.  As for conceiving easily, having had a miscarriage with no complications will not make it easier or harder, so again, ease of conception aren't any different for you then they were before.

Again, I am sorry for your loss, and hope you do conceive again quickly.
