My friend's sister had a molar pregnancy 2 years ago. In September she gave birth to a healthy little boy. She couldn't ttc for at least a year I believe so it's definately a long wait, but hold onto the fact that a healthy pregnancy afterwards is absolutely a possibility. I'm sorry for your loss. I wish you a fast recovery!
I have gone back to the Dr yesterday and today and now they are concerned with a molar pregnancy. Probably the worst case scenario! I have to go for a D&C on Thursday and then I am in for a year of weekly followups. Good luck to you all!
Confused- I am sorry you have to play the waiting game and you aren't sure what's going on. Super slow rising hcg is a flag for ectopic, but be aware that levels can also rise normally for a period of time before plateauing. If you have any severe cramping with or without bleeding please please call your dr and go to the er. I hope that you just had some blood sitting in your uterus for a while and it was hiding the sac.
Ps you could always google and look it up while you wait!
I'm not sure but best wishes to you!
Thank you for your stories. I wish you all good luck. I was concerned because I had a pelvic exam last week at 5 weeks 6 days and the dr said everything looked good. My hcg that day was around 14440. I went Friday for an ultrasound at 6 weeks 2 days, and the tech said there was a lot of coagulated blood in my uterus and she couldn't see much. The dr on call diagnosed me over the phone to the nurse that I had a miscarraige. I feel like with hcg that high there has to be a sac somewhere, and it is driving me crazy. I was thinking it could be ectopic, but from what you said it doesn't seem likely either. I am so nervous. I will get the results from my hcg on Friday sometime today. This has been a long weekend!
thanku so much for your response i went to the er tonight agian for sever cramping and bleeding and the did see a sac in my uterus questionable yoke and no fetal pole or heart beat. so they are calling it a possible miscarriage and theatened abortion. xing my fingers and im sorry about your loss
I had a m/c in October at 12 weeks after slow rising hcg levels. At 6 weeks they were in the 400's and barely rising over 2 days. I don't believe there is necessarily a typical hcg level for ectopic pregnancies, but I think that a red flag is hcg levels that are not rising as expected, maybe only 10% in 48 hours rather than the at least 55% Dr's like to see. I know with my levels so low my Dr was originally concerned about the pregnancy being ectopic. It ended up being a blighted ovum. I am sorry that you need to be worried about this, and I wish you well!
well my dr is concerned mine is ectopic i know levels for that type of pregnancy is remarkably low. im over a month and my level is 200 as of 4days ago... if your having severe cramping and spotting go to the hopsital and they will give u an hcg count and an ultra sound so you'll know before you leave thats what ive been doing i cant ever get into my dr. even if its just spotting voice your concerns they'll check you out its best to find these thing out as early as possible. i wish you the best keep me posted
