I'm sorry for your loss.
As the other ladies have said, it depends on how far along u were and what ur hcg level was when u were advised of a miscarriage.
If u started bleeding naturally then ur hcg levels would have already started to go down. U can still test positive even when the bleeding has stopped as the hcg hormone is in ur blood stream.
Everyone is different but it can take up to 4 weeks for the hcg go completely.
I had a d&c at 9.5wks and was still testing positive 3 weeks later, I'm hoping this week, week 4, I will be testing negative.

So very sorry for your loss.  Thanks for asking this question.  I was wondering too.  I am 8 days post natural (supposedly complete) miscarriage .  I was 7 weeks when the baby died, diagnosed at 7w3d, and 8w6d when I passed the majority.  They took a blood HcG test on me the day after I passed everything ( June 4), but they never called me with the results.  I have been taking a home pregnancy test about every 4 days since the miscarriage on June 3rd to monitor myself.  Last week,  I was still registering positive with a very bright pink line.  Today, I really have to look hard to see the very, very faint line.  I hope we get back to normal quickly:) I have read it could take a couple of weeks post complete miscarriage for the levels to fall to less than 5.

It depends on how far along you are and everyone is different. If your relatively early in the pregnancy it should go down faster. I'm sorry you are going thru this. We lost our first pregnancy last month.
