Is it a misscarriage

Can you have bleeding, and passing of large amounts of tissue during the first trimester and continue with a viable pregnancy? Ultrasound results showed an intact fetus with heartbeat, no signs at that time of miscarriage, however extreme cramping that night, passing of a large unidentifable piece of tissue, after tissue passing cramping decreased but spotting continues. Thanks.

im not going to say you've miscarried because im not a doctor, but passing clots and a lot of blood is what we describe as a miscarriage, im not not saying you have by any means but o to the doctor asap, he'll send for for a scan, wih miscarriages there is very bad cramps that make you keel over in agony, i really hope you are fine, please let me know

Hi wobo
I hope the baby is fine.  I think everyone is different.  I miscarried a little boy at 14 weeks and for myself I didn't have a lot of pain.  I was uncomfortable but when the nurse asked me what the pain felt like on a scale of 1 to 10 I would have said maybe a 3.  I have heard of other people bleeding during a pregnancy and turn out ok but then others have not.  I think you need to remain hopeful and wait for an expert opinion or an ultrasound before thinking the worse because it just adds to the stress.  I reckon your daughter needs to go on bed rest until she gets professional advice just incase its a threatened miscarriage.

You will have to let us know how it all goes!!!  We are thinking of you and your daughter.
