Missed miscarraige

I  was told I had a missed miscarriage  2 weeks ago and I wanted to see if I could go naturally but I didn't. On wed I was given a prescription for medication to help the miscarriage along. I went home and took it and with in 15 min I started to hemorrhage  so badly I needed an ambulance to bring me to the hospital. The doctors did scans and put me on a drip to help me to contract as well and more tablets to help me miscarry. But before all this happened 2 others doctors examined me while there was no nurses present . She said my cervix was still closed. Inserted fingers inside me while her and the other doctor pushed so hard down on my stomach . I was screaming in pain and crying and she kept saying why are u crying .And she what' I can only describe as pulled all the tissue out of me . It was horrific and I'm sorry if I'm being graphic but there was so much Is this a normal procedure for situations like this . Since then I have had 3 blood transfusions and a d and c . And no one has mentioned this to me since   . Ii just would like to know is this common practice or was I just used as a piece of meat for two doctors who taught it was a quick fix

I'm leaving hospital tomorrow and was under a different doctor since that day so I think I will ask her. It just seemed so horrific and it was in a small examination room and even when I asked them to stop they didn't
Thank u for ur response

I'm so sorry for your loss and your terrible experience! I don't know if that's routine; it didn't happen to me, but each loss is different and necessitates different treatment. It sounds like your loss was somewhat complicated with all the bleeding, medications, surgery, and transfusion. Could you talk to your OB about it to try to get a better understanding? Or even a counselor? I know I talked to a counselor quite a bit after my losses and she really helped me.  Many hugs!
