Ill b 7weeks come saturday my hcg level is xtremely low in the forties the docs are telling me that it isnt viable in doctor terms I wnna have some hope but they tell me that it.could be an ectopic pregnancy but how can that be if they saw nothing during the ultrasound....any sugesstions? Im worried sick...

Yes this past wednesday they tested my level and it went up to 48 idk its jus sooo frustrating to go through this not really knowing

I'm really sorry.  I'm a bit confused as well.  A D&C isn't done for ectopic pregnancies, so I don't understand why they are telling you that you need one.  Did they test your hcg again to see if it was going down?  the time that my hcg was that low (at 6 weeks) it had been a chemical pregnancy. They tested my hcg 2 days later and it had gone down into the 20's.  Again, really sorry.

Yes I definitely agree because they.confused the hell out of me and I.dnt wnna make a mistake because they dnt.kno what they are talkn abt...

They would never recommend a d&c for an etopic pregnancy.  That is just simply not possible.  I do think it very important that you see the Dr. or another one again.  Something isn't quite right here and it's very important that you get clarification.

Yes they wnt me to get that procedure done but they also said it could b ectopic....

I think that is a really good idea.  However, please do so quickly.  If it is in fact etopic, it's not something you want to wait on.  It's important that etopics be diagnosed and dealt with quickly as they can cause serious problems for you.

I will admit I am a bit confused.  They want you to have a d&c, but they think it's etopic?  Am I understanding you correctly?

Well, if your levels are that low at 7 weeks, I'll be honest, that is not a good sign.  In an ultrasound, even early, they would expect to see at least a sac.  If they saw nothing at all, that is a possible sign of etopic.  I'm sorry, I wish I could offer something positive, but in all truthfulness, these are not good signs.  Is it possible your dates are off and you are way earlier then you think you are?  I'm sorry, and I hope they are wrong and all is well.
