Not sure?

I am not sure if I had a miscarriage. This is what happen.  I was to get my period on Oct. 26 and never started.  The next day I had dark brown spotting that lasted 3 days. I took 2 hpt's that were both neg. Then no spotting at all for 2 days. On nov. 4 I went to the bathroom and had a dime sized blot clot pass and more bright bleeding.  Since then I haven't had any bleeding. Before all this I had cramping and nausea and sever lower back pain. Since I never got a positive I don't know what I was experiencing.  I called my doc and told her, but she didn't seem concerned enough to see me.  But I still wonder.

You may have had an early miscarriage...or just a weird period (hormones can get out of whack and cause weird things to happen in your cycle). Without a confirmed pregnancy, no one can say for certain which you had (miscarriage or wonky period).

Generally though, a pregnancy test would have shown positive if you were pregnant. The hormone (hCG) that the test detects stays around for a least a few days even after a miscarriage.
