Period after Miscarriage - People's experiences - Please Share

I have noticed lately, a lot of questions about returning periods after a miscarriage.  I felt it might help people if people wrote about their experiences here to give some people some peace of mind...  please dont be discouraged from writing if you have a bad experience, as it will help people who are going through something similar know they are not alone ..  even if your miscarriage happened a long time ago or if it took your period a long time to return to normal, please share

Things to include so people have all the information:

1.  Were your cycles regular previously before the pregnancy?
2. How far along were you in the pregnancy? HCG Levels prior (if you know)
3. What was your method? - Natural, d&c, or pills
4. how many weeks did it take to return?
5. What was it like? Normal (for you if you have heavy periods that is normal for you, if you have light that is normal for you...), Heavy, Light, Painful, etc....
6. Additional information that seems important

My experience.

My cycles were regular before the pregnancy.
I had a D&C
I was 12 weeks along, the gestational sac measured 7 weeks 5 days.  MY HCG lvl was 5000 prior to the D&C.  It took a week and a half for my levels to return to 0 after my d&c
It took 6 weeks post d&c for my period to return.  4 weeks from the date that my hcg level return to normal.
It has a been a normal period for me... No pain, some light cramping prior to the start, no clots

1.  Were your cycles regular previously before the pregnancy?
33-35 day cycle. 3-5 days long, heavy for the first day or two and then barely spotting the next 2-3 days. (pantyliner only) I had EVERY PMS symptom in the book!

2. How far along were you in the pregnancy?
I would have been 15 wks but baby stopped growing @ 12 wks. I saw the heartbeat on u/s and heard it w/the doppler @ office previously. It was considered a missed miscarriage.

3. What was your method?
D&C (suction) I bled just like my 'normal' period post D&C but heavier on the 1st 2 days & much worse cramps than my mensus.

4. how many weeks did it take to return? I had 3 days of spotting exactly 5 wks post D&C, and then started a real period last week, Oct 15th. It appears that I am now on a 29 day cycle.

5. What was it like?
I had my usual headache pre-mens and light cramps and headache for the 1st 2 days. It appears to be tapering off now (CD4) & I noticed it seems a lot more 'normal' than before and a lot less smelly than it used to be pre m/c. Sorry if that's TMI!!!

6. I'm hopeful that w/EVERYTHING changing, for what seems like the better, it will increase my chances for a healthy future pregnancy!

My first mc:
cycle was regular prior to pregnancy and were regular after
had emergency d&c because i hemorrhaged
I was 10w4d when bleeding started and told in er i was going to mc, baby measured 8w.
D&C was done 3 days later at 10w6d, not sure of hcg levels at the time
I bled for about 5 days after d&c lightly with out pain
Period returned 31 days from date of d&c

2nd MC
Periods were regular prior to pregnancy, not sure about after yet
I had a d&c by choice, blightend ovum
I was 9 weeks with no fetus seen by ultrasound, i had a total of 5 ultrasounds between 5w2d-9weeks.
At 8w4d ultrasound was done by specialist, hcg at 77,000
2 days of spotting after d&c
Period returned 32 days from day d&c was done, although it was very light more like spotting which is not normal for me.

1.  Were your cycles regular previously before the pregnancy?
My periods were regular although a couple of times there were late by a week or so.

2. How far along were you in the pregnancy? HCG Levels prior (if you know)
-I miscarried at 14 weeks but my son measured 11 weeks.  I did not know what my hcg levels were because my miscarriage happened so fast.

3. What was your method? - Natural, -My miscarriage was natural.  One day I had pink discharge, the next day red then gushing then my waters broke and my son and placenta were out.

4. how many weeks did it take to return?
It took 5 and a half weeks to get my period

5. What was it like? Normal (for you if you have heavy periods that is normal for you, if you have light that is normal for you...), Heavy, Light, Painful, etc....
My period was like a normal period.  Spotting, heavy bleeding, light and then spotting.  After my miscarriage to did bleed heavy for a week, light for the next and spotted on the third week.

6. Additional information that seems important
I had no cramps during my miscarriage.  My back was uncomfortable but no pain that would signify a miscarriage.  I did a hpt 3 weeks after my miscarriage and it was negative.  4 weeks after my miscarriage my hcg levels were 5.
I also fell pregnant the month after my first period.

-My miscarried happened April 13th and it was my first miscarriage although I did a false positive a year earlier.

My ffrst mc:
cycles were regular b/4 pregnancy and are regular now after
I had a D&C
I was 8 weeks but sac measured 6 wk 5 day, My Hcg was 37,000
After the d&c I bled for about 3 or 4 days, fairly light and didn't have any pain
My period returned 6 weeks after I stopped bleeding

My 2nd mc was natural bc I was so early and my hcg level was really low.  I only bled one day, spotted 2 days, no pain.  This was beginning of Sept.  Still waiting on period???
