How soon after M/C can you get pregnant?

Hello every-one. I found out August 16,2010 that I was 4 weeks pregnant. Then August 22&23 I was in miserable pain and was in the hospital both days for pain and slight bleeding. Hospital said I wasn't micarrying. But then after they gave me some nausea and pain meds. I started passing clots. Went to my OBGYN August 25,2010 and she told me I had lost the baby. I passed the baby and everything else all on my own. I did NOT have to have a D&C. I haven't had my period yet. But I was wondering how soon after having an early pregnancy M/C can you get pregnant again? We had intercourse one week after I lost the baby and then 2 weeks after but we haven't since cause it hurt so bad during intercourse. But I am now having breast tenderness and my lower abdomen is swollen again. My emotions have even went out of wack now. So, any advice would be helpful. Thanks

I miscarried in January and got pregnant again in April.

You can as soon as you ovulate, my sister in law got pregnant the next month.

Hi there its is exactly the same rules as with your period. you cant get pregnant in the first week but can after that and the not again the week before your period. This is what a doctor told me I think it should be information they should tell you but dont seem to I had to ask this question myself.

I wish you all the best if you are pregnant and fingers crossed it works out for you, x I have 3 more sleeps before I have an early scan to see how my 2nd pregnancy is going after my miscarrige so I no its hard to not worry.

sept of 09 i misscarried at 8wks i went throught the same thing clots and all at home one i got to the doctor they said everthing was out and just gave me antibiotics and pain medz im plz to say that i am now 38wks pregnant so u can get pregnant right after im proof

U can get preg again as soon as u ovulate again.. Good luck to u

I am so sorry for your loss.  Some women do fall pregnant straight away and others do not.  A lot of the time your body is so out of whack.  I fell pregnant after my first period and am now 17 weeks pregnant.  Just take a pregnancy test, if you think you are there is no harm in it.

Some people get pregnant before tthey even get another period. It really depends on if you ovulated or not. I got pregnant after my first period after an early pregnancy loss (no D&C) and am 15 weeks now =) Good luck to you and so sorry about your loss
