Ectopic Pregnancy

Hi my name is kayla. I was diagnased with an ectopic pregnancy and i am so full of questions right now. First I was given methotrexate on May 9th. I went in on may 13 to see the doc and get bloodwork done and my levels went from 900 to 1200 is this normal? will it go down again and will it do it fast? i am not really bleeding much but when I go to the bthroom there is tissue coming out of me. When can we start to try again and before I do should I go to the doc to see if my tube is clear or is that something they do normally? will my chances of having another be high??? I have had 3 healthy pregnancys so i am wondering why did this happen?

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I hope your attempts to conceive wield a healthy wonderful baby!! I hope to be able to start trying in August as of today my levels are negative for pregnancy and i have been on prenatals for three weeks and will continue to take them so I can at least be ready for a pregnancy. I am so nervous though about trying so we will have to wait and see.

Hi there, i just thought i would share my story with you, i recently lost my baby 3 days before xmas, hence my user name.  I new i was prrgnant but showed no signs of extopic, until the day i was rushed into hospital aftr collapsing, my tube had ruptured, which i had to have removed.  I lost 45% of my bodies bloody resulting in tranfusions.  This was my first pregnancy and i have no understanding why this happend as both tube were in fine working order, no scaring and no real explanation.  I was in hospital for a while and off work for over a month a half, i had to go back each week for blood to be taken as my level were not going down as they should do.  i have now been told that i have 5% chance of concieving which has devestated me, but i try to keep positive the best i can which isnt easy as i would be due in 8 weeks time and at he moment i am on count down!! week by week!!! i have since spoke to many ppl and friends who have experienced this who have gone on to healthy pregnancy, so i am praying that this will be the case for me too!!! im sure that you will go on to be fine, it is rare that someone has tow ectopics so i have been told.  i hope me sharing this helps a little with things.

Hi I have had my final beta hcg test done on the 1st of june and the Doc says its 2 which is at the negative mark. He says there is no need to get an U/S done But I am wondering shouldnt he make sure there is nothing blocking the tube? He has also told me to wait one cycle and then his nurse called and said wait two I am sooo confused.I am afraid that if i do get pregnant again its gonna happen again. This was my first miscarriage but I have had 3 healthy pregnancy/s before that. he said it shouldnt happen again and wont really do anything else to reassure me. He also stated he will see me at six weeks to make sure the next baby is in the uterus.I am so confused. I want to know when i should expect my period.

I'm sorry for what you are going through. My first question is did they do an u/s to see that is in fact a eptopic or is it the pain you are having etc. I know when my bff had an eptopic she had no signs of a m/c coming on and just crunched over in pain and ended up in surgery about a hr later.  Your hcg rose from 900-1200 that means they are going up they usually need to double in 48-72 hrs. I would def have them checked again. How far along are you? I would def have another u/s to make sure your tube is clear you don't want to wait. Anytime you have a m/c you are at risk for a reoccuring one. I have had 6 losses and I have 3 kids and my 4th on the way. Is this your first m/c. I wouldn't start trying again until you make sure everything is okay and if in fact you have lost the pg you want your hcg levels to go back to zero and your body to heal alittle bit. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I personally have not had an eptopic m/c I have had a d and e and the rest were natural m/cs. I don't want to give you false hope but with this pg I began bleeding and clotting at 12 wks and it lasted everyday until 18 almost 19 wks. It was a nightmare. Bleeding and clotting are very common side affects of pg. I hope you can get some answers. Best wishes to you and I hope you feel better soon. I'm here if you need to talk.
