Weight training in the First trimester

Does anyone know of a good source of information i can get a hold of for continuing weight training during the first trimester of pregnancy? I know there are benefits and want to do it properly.

Background: I want to TTC again after my miscarriage and I am currently walking five days a week and weight training three days a week. I know i will adjust the intensity of my workouts when i fall pregnant and keep my heart rate below 140 and temp below 39 but there is alot of conflicting information about the right way to weight train. Lots of sources says there are great benefits of keeping up your exercise routine but others say you can't lie down and do weight and others say machines are the way to go and some say free weights are better.

I am not sure about just weight training.  I do know that my friend who just had her baby stayed in great shape by doing yoga specially for pregnant women.  She also walked 4 miles a day and snow shoed and anything else to stay active that wouldn't put strain on the fetus.  She had a healthy weigt gain for the baby, yet was back to her pre baby weight almost immediatley.  I personally would am ttc and plan on staying active and using light weights with more repetetion, but with absolutley no strain to the fetus....and definitley the yoga eventhough I don't do that now.  good luck to you and sorry for your first loss.  we are ttc and it is so frustrating waiting month after month hugh!!  i just keep staying in shape and waiting!
