am i having a miscarraige?

I am 12 weeks along in my pregnancy tomorrow & i went to see my doctor on Sept 1 , we heard the heartbeat & everything seemed normal. Then yesterday ( Sept 2 ) I was having intercourse & after there was blood all over me down there & all over my boyfriend, it was almost like I had had my period , after I went down & washed off & called my doctor & the nurse said that sometimes that can happen & I just should wait to have sex again until I visit my doctor in 4 weeks, yesterday continued to be normal I wore a pad & had no more bleeding but as I wiped after going to the bathroom I would still have little left over old blood . Today I woke up & don't see much old blood in my new pad at all, but it still worries me , I have had no cramps but did have a backache the night before the blood took place. Do you think I am having a miscarriage ?

I think ur ok.  Especially since u saw the heartbeat the day before.  And backaches are quite common in pregnancy.  I would just follow up with ur dr.  You may  have a low lying placenta.  I had that and a hematoma and had spotting and bleeding for 15 weeks and I carried to term.  I would abstain from sex until you talk to ur dr. I actually bought a home Doppler so I wouldn't stress so much.  There are websites who rent medical grade dopplers for about 20 bucks a month.

I have not bled all day & had very little to no spotting , but when I wipe after going potty there is brown stuff on the toilet paper is that normal ( BTW this is around the time of my regular period) I'm just really scared.

Thanks , it was actually just a doppler exam , so they didn't insert anything inside of me.:/ thanks for the encouragement im just so nervous !

I can go but since the bleeding stopped immediately the nurse told me not to worry & many people have told me its quite normal as long as I don't have clots & the bleeding doesn't continue. Thanks for being so sweet. I just wish I had an at home doppler

Sex can cause bleeding.  Remember all ur parts down there are engorged with extra blood to support a pregnancy so bumping the cervix during sex can do that and having the exam the day before probably didn't help things either. Its good that it has stopped.  Try not to stress.   Good luck.

ahh sweety can you not go to your hospital and explain and ask for a scan ,,, they should do it for you, if anything just to reasure you .. keep intouch and let me no how you get on .. much love x
