i have heard the boys are more often spontaneously m/c but i never really knew if it was true. it may have to do with the lesser number of chromasomal material since they are XY some mutations are terminal cause they only have one dose but girls have extra being XX if they are missing one they still have the other part to fall back on and it may cause problems but not life threatening. just speculation but it sounds good hu
I didn't know that was true. Where did you get that information ? I'm curious because I have had two late missed miscarriages in a row. The first at 18 wees and the second at 17 weeks. They were both males. I know the term stillbirth usually refers to losses after 20 weeks, but mine were close and many losses that are found at 20 weeks or later actually occured weeks prior. Both of mine were missed miscarriages also. I had no signs or symptoms of fetal death. Just an absent heartbeat during routine Dr. visits. I'm curious to know if what you've stated is true and why.
