i had a mc on oct13 and me and my bf had intercourse on the 15th. is there any chance that i could get pregnant again? ive heard that your more fertile after a mc.is that true? we're ready to try again asap

i had a miscarriage a month ago but we needed a little time before trying again. however, last night i noticed my cm was watery so i randomly took an Ovulation test and i was so we've started trying again! i'm Ovulating exactly a month after i lost the baby and i never had a cycle. you should buy an Ovulation kit at walmart!! they're cheap and work Great! best of luck!

I heard after a MC you can Ovulate pretty soon.  My doctors said its not uncommon to ovulate 2 weeks after

i actually did miscarry-i was 4 wks 6days & ive been trying every since-i was wondering when would ovulation occur after a mc? as of now im waiting to see if i get a pd nxt mnth

Hi Ashlyn,
I miscarried on 28th August and after having no period up until 13th October I took a preganancy test which showed positive. I am now 7 weeks pregnant which means that I conceived the week following my miscarriage. So yes it does happen.
I have had troubles ttc, usually taking 10 months at a time! So I am in great belief that ttc after miscarriage is much more effective.

thank you-and my hcg level had dropped from 43(oct6th) to an11 on oct 9th. i havent been back to get my levels checked since then cause i was sure of a mc and would figure my level was back to normal.but we have been trying again!

have you had your bloods checke d for hcg? as not only can you not get caught unless u ovulate u dont tend to ovulate till your hcg has gone back to a normal level of between 0-5 but as scout8601 says some women do get caught even befor there first cycle. and i have also heard of people getting caught in the same week as a loss. so take care of you and good luck! I myself suffered a misscarriage in august the 7th and my hcg is still not back to normal to concieve yet its at 57but ive been told it should be within a normal range in a fortnight and can try to concieve again then so baby dust to us both take care!

I doubt that your pregnant now.  Sometimes you ovulate after a m/c, but I've recently read that most times you don't, not until you've had a normal cycle.  And if you do ovulate after the mc, I doubt it would be that soon after.  I do know that some women will get preg. again before they get their first cycle after a m/c, but I don't think that's very common.  And, yeah, I've heard too that you are more fertile after a m/c but i don't know if that's a fact or just an 'old wives tale'.
