miscariage ?

How do you know you've miscarried and that its not just blood clots?

I bled severely when I miscarried.  I changed 7 pads in an hour with tons and tons of clots.  It really depends how far along you are which will define the amount of bleeding and clotting.  I hope that helps.  Also if you have just miscarried you might still get a positive hpt to indicatge you were pregnant.

I have heard alot about normal bleeding while reading the post here. But bleeding while pregnant is never normal, ever. You need an ultrasound.

How far along are you?  The farther along, the heavior the bleeding you will have.  Even @ 5-6 wks, the bleeding would be quite heavy (like soaking a pad an hour) with lots of clots.
To know for sure, get bloodwork done, then repeated a few days later. It will show if your hcgs levels are rising or falling.
