just wondering if anyone can shed some light...i had surge on monday...and took another opk yesterday, thursday cuz of ewcm...and got another positive?? why???

GMB im a firm belever of trusting your body and what you may feel, if i had to guess i would say yes, you ovulated on tuesday.

Rule of thumb bd day b4 ovulation and two days after ovulation since the egg is expected to live up to 24 hours after ovulation.

thank you latrice....um, i have never temp..so i have no idea, how or what to look for.....i had STRONG o pains on tues...day after first pos surge....if u had to guess..could that of been my day of o?

I just wanted to add that when the egg is in the process of being released the hormone(LH) is being released in the body, so at that point you would have a strong positive LH surge, then you will have a strong surge after the egg is released and about 10-12 hours after that, which could be a total of 3 days.

Also, if im not mistaken, some of those opks says once you get a surge, you may ovulate 12-48 hours later, a surge is jus letting you no ovulation is approaching, and when lookiing at the ovulation kits with the lines, it has to be darker or equal, ive seen some ladies post there test saying they had a positive opk, but clearly, even though you can see the line, it has to be as dark as the first line(the test line i beleve)

The trick of it all is knowing your sign and symptoms of ovulation. For example, i get a 3 day lh surge. I dont think its bcuz i ovulated late, bcuz from my signs and symptoms and my temp it puts my ovulation on the correct date.  So if you ladies are not temping, its hard to pin point the two days you might of ovulated.  

I suggest trying to temp for one month, bcuz a lot of women say they get ewcm and be like well i got a surge and had pains but why am i still getting ewcm, am i still ovulating, i can only say that taking your temp would let you no for sure if ovulation has occured already, and when looking at your chart it would be 1-2 days from the point your temp went above your coverline.

that answered why i had a serge three days in a row the month i got pregnant. Wonder if that will happen again to me.
its cool that you think of us enough to even ask your Dr questions that might help others... your the best!!!!!

I was thinking about you, and I asked my dr.  He said that sometimes the egg takes a little bit longer to release, so you actually have 2 LH surges.  That means you ovulated later than you think.  BD like crazy because you may just now be ovulating :)
