I had a miscarriage April 07 and have only 5 periods since than, missed alot of cycles. Last month they did a hormone test and my hormones dropped off completely so that's why I only spotted every month for the last 5 months.

I would go see a doctor about it. Now i'm having a cycle thanks to progesterone.

i feel exactly the same m/c 4 weeks ago n waiting desperately for a period but nothing more than light spotting as of yet. i too have felt crampy spotty and sick and i hope all is ok down there, it's a fairly common problem by the sounds of things but a worrying one!!!

i was told at my scan i had retained products 3 weeks ago but as my hormone levels started dropping nothing would be done about the retained products. but was also told my first period would be heavy but it's not so far,  any ideas anyone what could be going on????

I had the same thing--period pains but no period.  Turns out I had some scar tissue that had developed as a result of my D&C and that was causing my lining to not be able to form, therefore, I had cramps, but there was nothing to come out.  I just had the scar tissue removed.

It could be that your body is just getting back to normal.  I would call your doctor.  Maybe he or she will reccomend Provera for you to stimulate  a period.  Although, anywhere from 4-6 weeks is normal to wait to get a period after a M/C.  good luck!

you could also just be experiencing what many women do after a MC.  i know that after my first MC, my periods were all wacky, like a week late etc and i also started getting the same types of period pains, days before my period started.  Now i never got period pains ever in the past and had no clue what they were.  having a MC can really throw your system out of control for a little bit.

but there is always the chance of pregnancy again, so i would wait a couple of days and take another test if you period does not arrive,

I had a similar thing happen, I kept getting cramping and feeling like I was getting my period and everytime I went to the bathroom I was sure I was going to find my period and it never happend, come to find out I was pregnant and I was told that feeling was normal by my ob/gyn and 3 weeks later I had an ectopic (my second one). Since you just mc'd (which I am so sorry for and I feel for you) I would contact your ob/gyn and see what he/she says they may want you to come in to make sure there is nothing left in the uterus, and that everything was expelled 4 weeks ago. When i mc'd over a year ago I did have the exact same thing you are having called my ob/gyn and got in they measured my levels and realized not everything came out with the mc, i still had tissue left in the uterus. Which is why I was cramping and feeling sick with no period. My advice is to call your doctor just to make sure. I hope I helped and I hope things go well for you.
