recent miscarriage

I recently suffered a miscarriage at 11 weeks. I have had miscarriage prior several years ago but the dr did a D/C and also last year I had twins but lost one at 11 weeks. I do have three wonderful children and feel lucky for that. I never knew how painful a miscarriage would be physically until now. Did anyone else suffer the physical pain? What can I expect for bleeding after now and how long before my next period should come? thanks for the info and sharing.

Yes a natural miscarriage is very painful. I had my first one last year and when it started I curled up in a ball and laid on the couch and was bleeding horribly. It's like an immensely painful period with cramping that doesn't stop for hours and hours. Mine lasted for 2 days but I have heard others say it lasted up to a week. My doctor recommended some strong Ibuproferin to help with the pain but for me only prescription strength was good enough to help and not the over the counter kind.

What heartbreaking news! So sorry to hear that! I also had a miscarriage at 11 w 6 d and it took about 3 weeks to stop bleeding and after that I didn't get my period for about 3-4 more weeks.  I had a natural miscarriage and so I didn't get a D&C.  Physical pain only lasted about 3-4 days. However, I still had my pregnancy symptoms for about 7-10 days after the miscarriage (nausea, fatigue). Hope this helps! Take care and best of luck getting pregnant again!

I'm sorry for your losses. Yeah, I experieced the physical pain..it was horrible for about 2 days..then got less and less. I got my period exactly 27 days from when I started to MC but my periods are extreamly regular and I was only 4-5 weeks.
