when will my period go back to normal?

I there I had a miscarriage at the end of december and my period have been pretty weird since then, which I realise is meant to be "normal" but I spotted for 14days in january and it was really dark blood, and again now its abit more then spotting but its like a dark discharge half the time and then randomly abit more blood but its very dark. My doctor doesn't think there is a problem, just that my horomones are balancing out again.
Has this happend to anyone else? The fact that there so little does that mean it will take longer to finish this 'period', as it coming in such small amounts?
And I wanna get pregnant again, will my period need to be back to normal before that can happen?

After I passed all of the blood from pregnancy (and this does not count as a period, it is just passing the leftover blood.) it took me three months to get a "period" but it wasnt a true mesus. just old dried brown that came at the time my mesus was supposed to happen. three months of that, checking temps, doing ovulation tests every day, sometimes twice a day, and nothing happened. The doc. said i probally hadnt ovulated at all yet based on my discription of my "mensus". 6 months after my loss I finally had what you could call a normall mesus (and man did that one hurt, and man was I CRANKY during that one). but the ovulation  test r still not a super clear positive. Im told I stess too much. Stress can affect ovulation. After over 35 years on this rock I dont know how to not stress, if you know how to chillax, I strongly recommend you use whatever method you have to relax. I know its hard for you right now. After a year for me it's still hard, but I remember how much harder it was right after. but please relax. dont spend hundred of dollars on vitamins and supplements, dont spend hundred of dollars on ovulation tests. Try to forget and relax, maybe you'll have better luck than I've had. Great luck to you.

I'm sorry about you miscarriage.  I think that every women is different and so is each m/c.  I've had 3 and my bleeding has been a bit different with each.  Sometimes it can take a few months b/4 getting back to normal.  I'm assuming you've had a follow up with your doctor to make sure everything got passed??

As far as getting pregnant again, I'd say as long as you ovulate you can get pregnant.  Some women will get pregnant after a m/c, before having a period at all.  So I'd think it woudl be possible, even with weird cycles.  Again, I'm really sorry and hope your body gets back to normal soon.
