26yro female with having numbeness and weaknessHELP

I am 26 years old female with a history of PCOS and right dislocated knee injury 8 years ago and for the last year and a half, I've been having neuropathy like symptoms which some and go in both my arms and legs getting progressivly worst. Now along with these symptoms lately I've been having alot of right knee and hip weakness almost to the point of falling and mild weakness in my left knee. Also bil calf cramps at night at lest twice a week. The numbness and tingling in my arms are now get to the point at times exspecialy in the morning I cant move them for a few minutes after waking up this happens a few times a week.with the numbness/ tingling feel remaining though out the rest of the day. Also For the last month I haven't been having a hard time thinking I feel like im in a foggy state of mind often forgeting or remembering thing. And I also have been moderately to severaly fatigue to the point its effecting my relationship with my family and work. Sleeping sometimes on my days off up to12-16 hours and still tried my appetite these last few weeks has dismissied greatly finding I have to make myself eat.  I keep planning on going to the Doctor again but the last time I went for the numbness which at that point wasnt hardly this bad a few months ago they said it would be 6months before I could see a neurologist so I said forget it. But now its getting to the point that I cant hardly function with out being so exhausted at the end of the day im starting to get depressed and moody for the way this is taking a toll on my family my son exspecialy he is a only child and i cant even get the energy to play with him and he knows this and comments on it
What im truely asking is does anyone elhere thinks it could be ms . Is fatigue and appetite problems also a early sign  and should I just go back to my dr and try to wait 6months to see a specialist or go to the ER ps I have really bad insurance and alot of hospital bills from my sons birth a few years ago and fertility treatments from before then.  I dont know how much longer I can handle this pain and fatigue and dropping things and tripping over everything in front of coworkers is starting to be embarrassing help please  ps sorry for all the errors in grammar my hands are currently numb and writing this on a touch screen is difficult

Thanks for your comments I end up in the ER after all after I fell at work and lost the ability to move my right leg for a few hours then a few days after that I lost feeling and mobility on my whole right side for a few days after a MRI and CT that showed right frontal lobe changes similar to those with chronic migraines which I DONT have I get diagnosed with fibromyalgia and a prescription of neurotin100mg at bedtime. Which I stopped after a week due to it making me act drugged up and didn't help my neuropathy symptoms at all. Now I had to go to part time with my job because I couldn't stay awake and would forget important task. I'm sleeping 12-18 hr a day forgetting everything with in minute of being told and losing memory's and forgetting who people are and where things go the neuropathy now is 24/7 in arms and legs and sometimes like once or twice a week affects my lips neck chest and abdomen to the point I can't eat which isn't that big a deal given I sleep though all meals I'm now depressed to the point I don't know how long I can take this so if any of u know what this could be please help I now have 6000 dollars in hospital debt and a half a** diagnosis of fibromyalgia with medication that Doesn't help.  Does this sound like what u went though with ms at all or like anything u ever heard associated with it the dr did mention it but after Neg MRI he said it couldn't be.

The ER is the worst place to go. They are for patching you up and getting you out not diagnosis. The eating problem would not be MS. JJ is right your GP can do a neurological exam and blood work.

Hi and welcome,

It would be difficult for anyone to say if what you have mentioned is due to a neurological condition like MS or if it's something completely different and one of the more common explanations consistent to what you've mentioned. I suspect you have far too much happening, in too short a time frame for the most likely explanation to be MS though.

I would suggest you see a GP for some basic blood and possibly neurological tests, if there is a need for further testing by a neurologist, you will need to get on that waiting list but in the mean time there may be a viral, vit B, Iron deficientcy, depression etc issue that needs to be addressed.....

Cheers.........JJ
