I can't wait for a better image to see what's rattling around up there!
Maybe it's my old class ring that I lost years ago!

It is amazing.
And, I have to say that my 1.5 open bore images were ok, but junk once I compared them to the 1.5 "Superconducting T" closed. Though there were some crazy sequences that were pretty cool - but still no comparision to the closed machine. Go figure.
I have to agree wtih you. When I first saw my MRI's on 1.5T, I thought it was amazing what you could see. I thought of MRI as a true miracle invention. (Which I still believe it is) When I saw the films on a 3T I could not believe the incredible difference in the clairity. I even saw the "old" lesions taken on the 1.5T versus the 3T and could not believe how well defined they actually were. I am still in awe of these modern miracles of science.
As soon as the 3T becomes of common use, newer and more advanced MRI's come along...so I have my doubts whether any hospital or facility will ever be able to keep up the growing technology.

Well, perhaps I'm being a bit harsh....
But, I'd equate the difference to be equal to that of a polaroid snapshot from the 70's and on of these super mega pixel shots that you can get now from a good digital camera.
Of course, that is assuming that you are old enough to remember the poloroid days! :-)
Ha! :-)
MUD from the 1.5T? Really? What the heck were you doing in there - the jig?
Stay still next time, would ya!
