Able to walk my dogs again!!

I haven't been able to walk my 2 chihuahuas for over a year because of my balance problem. I went to Petsmart and bought a doggy stroller. I put both of my chihuahua's in at the same time and they were so happy and well behaved. I walked them about a mile total and holding on to the stroller helped me be able to walk.

This might sound crazy, but I am considering getting a real baby stroller to take to the mall so I have something to hold onto instead of my husband or kids. Of course, hopefully no one will be wanting to see the cute little baby inside...I am just not ready for a walker and the cane doesn't prevent me from tipping in the other direction.

Anyway, I wanted to share with all of you my total happiness and independence.
Take care everyone!!

Kristi

I paid about $75 with some birthday money my parents sent me. It was the best birthday present yet.
I have sooo missed being able to walk them. I feel wonderful!

Hey I just decided to buy a dog stroller for my Boston terrier! How much was yours? I figure it'll be good for me to have something to hold onto while I walk.

I think it's wonderful that you & your doggies are able to get out there and enjoy life again.

Wonderful indeed!  Post a picture when you get a chance, please!

Nancy's learned to let me lean on the cart when we go grocery shopping together.  When I use the cane, it almost always turns out to be on the wrong side at some point through the journey, so I know just what you mean about tipping the other direction.  I never did want to make the leap of using two, even at my worst, though I did fear for a while that it would be necessary.  I pray I won't need a walker, but if I do, I do.
