Restless Legs

I've been dignosed with MS for 36 years and have seen an awful lot of what MS can do (it can do anything!) I'd estimate that 1-2% of weird symptoms are psycosomatic--but I just know the perversities of MS, not all the patiets. DON'T let anyone intimate it's made up or something you have just imagined. It's pretty hard to make up some of this really werid stuff anyway. I just found something on the Internet today which I've experienced for 25+ years and NEVER expected to have veried--yet it was by several people! {visible pounding in palm that looks like blood vessil.) So, friends, try to be patient--this disease take SO much patience. Also make up your mind to the fact you MAY NEVER understand it all--but you can attest to the fact it is because of the MS that you have it, others have it oo and manage to cope, and so can you! Life can be hard, for sure, but we have a lot of support here and can learn to manage together! The easiest thing in the world is getting rid of the restless legs--that will help a lot. Good luck! This is not flattery but fact -

Jane has been my lifeline over the last few months and has helped me to try to develop a positive attitude about fighting my corner in my up coming neuro appointment and helped me with the approach to take and the questions to ask.

She is a mine of useful information and postive affirmations about life (supplemented by clip art and funnies) which lift my mood daily and gives of herself so freely to help others that she is a wonderful addition to the forum.

with thanks

Pat

Hi Jane,
I don't think we have *talked* yet - or perhaps we have and I don't remember, which would not be unusual for my brain.

We appreciate your positive attitude about dealing with the unknowns of MS.  Thanks for joining us here.

Thanks, Shell--I shouldn't post so late at night, however--no proofreading, etc.. I also failed to say that the standard meds for restless legs--requip (generic is roprinole) and miraplex are readily available and usually not at all difficult to get prescribed. They help a LOT!! Reduces the obnoxious feelings sometimes by half! Jane

Hey Jed! You are wonderful.

When you said you were ready to report to duty, you really meant it!

Thank you so much for your calming ways and for giving us ways to manage.

Love having you here!
