Bad shaky legs today.

Its so crazy, I actually had 4 days of  vacation from these shaky legs. It all started back again this am, and Im having a hard time walking. It goes and comes, more coming than going and it really is starting to annoy the heck out of me. The one good thing I did find out is my neurosurgeon that did my cervical dissectomy in 2006, started taking my HMO again as of October 1st. Ive seen a different one that wants to do surgery, but Ive already gotten an appt to go back to my original neurosurgeon on Nov. 2nd. I also have more tests with a neurologist on Nov 14th. This stuff seems to never end. Its crazy, the bad days seem to be more often than the good ones. The neurosurgeon upped my neurontin to 400 mg. TID, plus ordered celebrex 200 mg, and vicodin 7.5 q 4 hrs prn. There is no way Id even think about taking the vicodin that often. My legs are already weak enough, i sure dont need to fall and break a hip. I think Im going to train my potbelly pig pooty to be my guide pig.
HAHAHA!

I laughed so hard at yall's posts. HAHAHA, Im so old if I was standing on a corner, a group of boy scouts would approach me with "Hey granny, can we help you across the street?"

Seriously though, these shaky, spazzing, buzzing thingees in my legs are so ANNOYING. Its basically been going on since August, except for a four day reprieve last week. Its only from my knees down, strange huh? My neurologist agrees with my neurosurgeon that I need surgery. I just found out that my previous neurosurgeon (who did my cervical dissectomy in 1/06) again takes my HMO, as of Oct 1st. I quickly made an appt with him on Nov. 2nd. Im trying to put off surgery till after the holidays, so I will continue to shake right along with you ladies! BUZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!

I think we should just charge an entertainment fee. For all the stares I get when I'm out in public when it happens, I figure I should make some money off of it. I figure the outfit would gather more cash. lol

I also hope that if anyone found something to stop this, please let us Know!!

LOL on the 2nd job. . .think they'll pay us just for looks?

Just adding a MEEE too on the shakey, but not painful, but irritating and annoying. I'm glad the weather has changed here, as I wouldn't want it seen during shorts and skirts season.

I've not mentioned it to my Dr, thinking if I did, there would be nothing for it anyway. . .

If anyone has found something that stops it, let us know!

I know what your legs are going through. My legs shake a lot sometime not visible most times it is. I call it my wonky dance. As I've said in another post, i'm going to get tassles for my knees, put on a mini skirt with high heels and work the street corner. Might as well make some money on it. haha

Mine are not painful either when they shake but is annoying and then when it gets to an extreme shake I can barely walk. I use a cane when it happens although in its extreme shaking walking is next to impossible. Mine have started and stopped in a day (sort of like a car that won't keep running)  and I have had it last up to 4 days at a time. It is pretty constant for me and that is part of the reason for the slow diagnosis for me as apparently it is rare to get it as often as I do.

I sure hope it calms down soon for you. If not maybe you can join me on the street corner. lol

My thoughts are with you

Thanks for the good thoughts! You are exactly right, it feels like a vibrator in both my legs, but only from knee down. Sometimes you can actually see the tremors or shakes or whatever they are. It feels like Im walking on stilts, and trying to stay balanced.  This is nuts, its been constant untill about 4 days ago they stopped, now they are back. Its not painful, just annoying.

Sorry to hear your legs are a little banged up. It's got to be awful. Mine started getting what feels like someone turned a vibrator on inside, but if you touch them they don't feel any different. Just my left leg. As someone else accurately described it, feels like I have been exercising, doing squats, and sooner or later you get that shaky feeling inside.

Hopefully yours will feel better soon.
