Botox Injections for Spasticity

Hi my forum friends. :-) Has anyone had Botox injections for their spasticity? My new MS neuro wants to do injections in my back because I have severe tightness & pain/spasticity in my muscles. Two of my ribs are being pulled out and their rubbing on my shoulder blade.
Thank you, Hope all are doing well...

I do take 20 mg of Baclofen 3 times a day for spasticity. I was at 4 times a day, but went down to 3 times a day - that way I have movement upwards available in the future if I need more Baclofen down the road. I think 80mg is the max that you can take in a day without getting a spinal pump.

I've talked to 2 physical therapists & both said they've heard nothing but good things from their patients who've had the injections.

I have heard of Botox being used in Cerebral Palsy for spasticity so this does not surprise me at all. I am having issues with the old spasticity myself & never considered Botox as an option before you brought it up. I will be interested in what others have to say on this topic.

I am at a point where I'm thinking I should be on Meds for my spasticity other than a diazepam at bedtime but Botox would mean my liver is spared yet another drug. I am already on a lot of medications & my liver has had it's moments so the Botox idea has given me some hope.

If you have it done please keep me updated because I am very interested in your results.

Hugs,

Karry.
