Making sure you have personal copies of all records and test results is such a good idea. That way, even if a doctor or office isn't cooperating, you can always take your records to the next one.
You can ask the receptionist there to copy what you bring and give you back your originals right away. If they've already received your reports from the previous neuro, not a big deal. Better for them to have 2 copies than none. You don't want the next guy to re-invent the wheel and waste a lot of time and insurance resources doing unnecessary retesting.

Hi Alex,
I think I may call and ask the neuro to send me a copy of all of my files. I know it will cost money and I will have to sign a release.
I hate to be such a pest but they will not schedule my appointment until after they get my records and the doctor looks at them.
I was told the doctor will decide if she will see me or not after she sees my records and decides if she can help me or not.
This is terribly frustrating and stressful. Funny thing is the last neuro was blaming stress for some of my symptoms. He certianly has caused me stress!!

LA.
This is why when I switched neurologists I went and picked up my records from them. I told them I like to keep all my medical records together when I travel in case I need them, which I do. The problem may be release forms. With HIPPA you have to sign to have records sent from one doctor to another. Some of my doctors will take a verbal request others have to have everything in writing.
