I just completed my first MRI since I started Copaxone 10 months ago. This is my first and only DMD and I am very happy to say the results showed no new active lesions in the brain or spine! Yay!!!

This will be a long and tiring week, but exciting, too.  The FIRST LEGO League robotics team that I help to coach will be practicing every evening except Tuesday for the State championship.  If we can win the tournament this Saturday, we will head for St. Louis, Missouri in April to represent Michigan in the World Championship Festival.

Robotics teams will come from all corners of the globe to compete for the title of World Champion.  It is very exciting.  We have a wonderful team of kids who have worked very hard.  They just may take the prize.  I know they are capable.  I am proud to be one of their coaches.

We will have long evenings of fine tuning the robot, as well as practicing their other presentations for the judges.  Go, MO' Peeps (the team's name).

Thanks for the good thoughts.  Testimony went fine, although I'm still not sure what my lawyer did...  Now it's up to the judge to decide.  

I know this is for last week, but I hope all went well for everyone.

Jordan's MRI clean of head, neck, spine.  This is good but why is he so miserable?  Idk.  Hard time with this "whatever it is"-Day 21, 8 days out of school but bless his heart he's hanging in there.  Lots of painful zaps in feet and legs.  Lasting longer/sharper.  Neurotin not helping much.  But, he's still smiling!  Dr. appointment Friday with a new and fresh perspective.  Never know...  Worth a shot, right?!

Welcome back supermum, you have been missed!

I was having a nice quiet uneventful week when all of a sudden yesterday came down with blinding headache, fatigue and then this morning awoke with a sharp stabbing pain in my right lower abdomen.

I've just come back from my GP or PCP equivilent who suspects appendicitis. He wrote me a referral and told me to go to the hospital. So this may be my last post for a day or a week depending on how it goes.

Life is never dull with MS that's for sure.

Had my follow-up doctor's visits this week after getting discharged from the hospital last week.  GI says to stay the course with the low residue diet due to gastroparesis - yucky, yuk!!  Saw my neuro this afternoon and neither of us fired the other so it was a reasonably good appointment.  I have it written in stone that future IVSM infusions will be followed by tapered steroids.  :)  Won that battle.

Amy - EMGs feel a little strange but it is not a painful test. You'll do great
Alex - I hope you get your riding in this week before it gets too cold. Have fun!
Kelly - Enjoy the MS event. Why do you guys always get the interesting activities?
Shell - I hate going to the doc's too.  Definitely not a high point in my week, but when you need to go, you need to go.  Let us know what you find out about your hand.

I have an EMG scheduled for Thursday..of just my arms which I thought was weird since I'm having issues with my legs also..other than that normal week at work and home..well except I got my second jury summons in a month!! First one was cancelled.
Uughhh!!

Can someone explain the EMG for me? What is it testing? Does it hurt? Will I need hubby to drive me home?

Yesterday had another PT appt and my follow-up appt with my surgeon.

I found out today that Cigna has only agreed to pay 3wks of my 6wks of short term disability from my surgery, so I'll have 3 wks now without pay (which s u cks).  
And also today went to lunch with my partner and my 2 brothers (my last week of freedom before I go back to work next week).  

Wed - going to an MS Event - lunch & learn for advocacy in health care.

Tammy, good luck with getting disability.
Misty, I hope you can get that seat raiser that you need.
Kwarendorf, I hope your first Tysabri infusion goes good.

Working Grady he is doing very well. I got his mobility harness. I am training him to pull me to a standing position. We did well at the mall. Not so well at Petco. I am trying to push a cart and lift dog food with him going nuts with all the stuff. Someone spilled a bag of dog food and he was off like a sled dog. Lol.

I finished a painting I started last Xmas today.

I hope to go riding this week.

Thursday pain Doctor hopefully I can be nice. I am no longer feeling the love. I have to remember he is good at what he does so I have to put up with the garbage.

I'm finally going to get some help in my home. There coming out tommorrow to do an evuation on how many hours that I need.  My insurance has approved my power chair but, not the seat raiser that I need to tranfer.  It's going to cost an extra 2400 which I don't have. But, I've been looking into other programs that maybe can help with that.  I'm having a lot of blatter problems right now.  I've have three UTI this month that won't go away. I do have an appt with my G.U doctor on Thursday.  Waiting for my culture to come back from the hosiptal.  

   My pcp called me today about my blood work and stool sample that I had done.  I will have to return there call tommorrow because I missed there call today.   I have a lot of doctors appt. going on for about the next month.   I'm patiently waiting my results for my evoked testing I had last week.  I go back to the neuro on Jan 10.  Which seems like a lifetime.  

To.  Lou,  Ive read your journal pages.  I give you a lot of credit for all you been through along with everything that you have done for people.  Your a wonderful lady and it was very inspiring. Take care.

Tomorrow, my lawyer and I will meet the a judge at the social security disability adjudication office.  My husband has taken the day off to support me.  Why do I feel like I am being called into the principal's office???
