Do your fingers and hands randomly fail to perform a task?

I am wondering if this is specific to MS because I have other health issues.  Thank you

Hi fellow Ozzie,

In regards to your question, it really depends on what you mean but there are issues specifically to do with your hands......grip strength, finger pinch strength, weakness, hand eye coordination and Intention tremor off the top of my head are all very common.

Intention tremor is suppose to be the most disabling form of tremor pwMS experience, it's more pronounced during physical movement, so basically the tremor gets worse the closer your hand comes to an object or task so when you reach for something your hand may miss your intended target, over shoot, knock things over etc

Hope that helps.........JJ

ps unfortunately i can't come along on one of your nightly walks because i'm in Vic, i only know of two other Ozzie community members here, one's in SA and the other is in WA sorry, you could try contacting the QLD MS society to see if they can help you start off a walking group in your area.

Hello ...  a fellow ozzie :)  one in each state lol now that would be one hell of a walk!

Yes i have issues with grip strength, finger pinch strength and hand weakness.  I resort to wearing gloves to help with grip but fingers are frustrating that is for sure.  thank you
