Thanks for your response I hope youre right I keep reading that MS shows up differently in people Fingera crossed.
Hi and welcome,
What ever it is will most definitely have to be something else because in a very short time frame of only a week you've been experiencing a tingling sensation "all over my face, head, legs, feet, hands, and arms......symmetrical....it randomly moves" which are all the typical red flags that point away from neurological conditions like MS.
MS symptoms are cause by brain and or spinal cord lesions so it basically can't present in all peripheral limbs, be symmetrical or be random or move from one location to another....
Hope that helps........JJ
Thank you for your response m. At the ER now.
A week of tingling is more likely to do with a nutritional deficiency, or rarely, a peripheral nervous system issue. All over symptoms like this are not related to ms. Multiple sclerosis affects the central nervous system -- you would see a relapse affecting one part of your body, not tingling all over. I've also known some people who had odd tingling as a response to a lot of stress in their lives; once the stress settled down, so did the tingling.
It's rare that a gp will do all the necessary bloodwork. I'm guessing B12 was done; make sure your gp has also done vitamin D and magnesium. (For some people, even a wonderful diet is not enough to maintain adequate levels of certain vitamins or minerals).
I hope this helps!
