Flair, heat, postponed performance.

I was supposed to perform at a restaurant tonight, but due to the guy who does the booking totally screwing up, my performance has been postponed until November.  I'm almost relieved - I couldn't play guitar tonight if I tried!  I've been sleeping for the last three days, it's been hotter ' n' ell, and I have absolutely no strength in any extremity. I feel sooo stiff, weak, and the spasms are a daily thing right now.

I did see my neuro today who explained I'm having a flair, and he gave me a lab slip to check my LFTs, thyroid, CBC, etc. for the Rebif.  He briefly examined me and noted more hyper reflexia in upper and lower extremities, and a wide gait.  Heel - toe just wasn't happening, and he chuckled and said "not bad for someone with bilateral Babinskis"  He's off to go camping and wine tasting in Oregon (I'm so jealous - I LOVE Oregon).  We discussed Baclofen.

G'night, all
Guitar_grrrl

Hopefully I'll be practicing again, soon.  Until then, I'm off to sleep

This has been the strangest summer - here in Ohio we have only had a few days in the low 90's - this past week we had record LOW temps for August.  It was in the upper 40's a few days in a row for the morning temp.

I think I'm glad we didn't get the heat, though my tomato plants aren't quite so happy.

I hope it cools down for everyone soon!

my best,
Lulu

Hope your feeling better soon..  November should bring much more relief, I soo know what your going through with not being able to play the guitar, I havent been able to pick mine up since early June, Have
tried, but hands just dont want to do what brain is telling them to do,
so I've decided instead of becoming more fustrasted with it, I would
give myself time and hope that the cooler months will bring some
relief to my sx.
You take care, get some rest, and you'll be playing soon..

This summer has been a toughy for everyone I think - sorry to hear that your having a hard time with the heat, but to play in Nov. in the fall it will be a breeze for you.

Yesterday I had ti hide in the house, everytime I opened the door, it was like openiing an oven door, we were 105, and there is no sign of it cooling down:/

When your Neuro comes back from his Wine Tasting:) have to smile at that, I live in 10 hectares of vineyards, then maybe he can get you on Baclofen for the spasms??

Let'a hope today is cooler,

Debs
