Hey There! My very first one grew gradually for a week, week and a half then stayed the same for another week and half. Then just poofed was gone!

Like Quix said theres no way of knowing how long it will stay with you. For my very last one wich scared the crap out of me ( it was one of them stroke feeling ones). My MS Specialist allowed me to see him since i never had one like that before. In his opinion he siad it would last proably 3 weeks since i am younger and the disease is new. He was almost right. It lasted 4 weeks for the worse and a couple months for the other symptoms to mild down and only have a few now going strong.

So yes they will plateu but No there is no specific time frame anyone can give you for that. I hope your doing well and it is starting to go away! Keep your head high!

Hi, and Welcome to the Forum!  I hope we can help?  Are you diagnosed?

A flare can last a day or so or many months.  It can come on very suddenly - like a stroke - or gradually over hours or a few days.  Many of us notice a big increase in fatigue, then the appearance of new or worse symptoms.

Typically the symptoms build over a few days, level off and then last as long as it is going to last.  Yes, there is a point where the symptoms either plateau or they begin immediately to improve.

The real answer is that every one's relapses are different.  It is what it is - never was there a phrase that was SO made for MS.  The fact that this MiSerable disease want follow any rules is one of it's most maddening features, I think.

Others will be by to tell what their experiences have been.

We have wonderful people here who have a vast amount of experience, info, and wisdom.  I hope you stay and ask all the questions you have in your mind.  And, I hope that we can give more definite answers for some, lol.
