Hand went instantly numb

Hi all,

Tonight I was using my sewing machine and leaning on the seat of the chair next to me with my right hand.

When I lifted it up my hand felt numb so I tried to shake it off, and I have had no change, its still the same.

My pinky finger and  the one next to it are numbish and feel tight, and the top of my hand feels the same.

If this is ms can this numbness come on so quickly???????????????

Thanks

Melissa

Hi,

Thanks for posting back.

The numbness made my hand feel  really tight.

It lasted about 2 hours and has slowly subsided and all I'm left now is a very slight tingling in part of my hand.

Even my wrist felt really tight, it was hard to bend it.......

Very weird, hopefully it won't come back.

You could possibly have pinched your ulnar nerve somehow. That governs the pinky and the pinky side half of the next finger.

Don't know whether MS could cause this so quickly, and hope others will chime in here.
