Help with how to decrease Rebif skin reactions

What things have you all tried that helps the most with the skin reactions associated with rebif injections.

I am getting the red inflammation areas around my injection sites more often than I am not.  They aren't infected, hot, etc., they just aren't very nice to look at.

I've tried massaging the site afterwards like the rebif paperwork says and I've also tried not massaging.  I've tried injecting manually slowly and also the auto-injector.

A little frustrated and was wondering if any of you fellow rebif users have found things that have helped decrease your skin site reactions.

Hi there,

The red silver dollar size around the injection site may not be avoidable :(

Do you inject in your hips (more like love handles)?  They are less red for me. Most times not at all red. They all should fade a week or so out, but heat, sun, exercise may re-reveal them. Do you keep moisturized? I find the more flexible my skin, the quicker the fade.

Sorry they are getting to you, and hope this helps.

You may have more luck with that, as heat could be increasing the inflammation while cold would decrease it.  Plus, an ice pack might have a temporary numbing effect. Good luck.

I tried a warm compress after my last injection and it seems to have lessened the amount of redness. I will also give an ice pack a try.

Have you tried applying an ice pack afterwards?
