How long can a pseudo-exacerbation last?

I gardened yesterday; it was hot, but I stayed in the shade, and didn't feel overheated.  I've worked much harder in the garden this year (so very thankful I can!!! Haven't been able to since 2012) but it was 30 C with a humidex making it feel like 39 C.

Later on I had my typical intermittent double vision (get that from heat or fatigue -- it disappeared.  However, then both legs started feeling odd.  They buzzed all night (I may have had 1.5 hours sleep) ... I'm lurching today trying to walk on the stupid things.

These are not new symptoms -- basically a repeat of my March relapse this year.

I'm pretty ticked that heat/fatigue/overuse now affects BOTH legs.  Ugh.

Where I'm confused -- I drank lots, came immediately into a cool house, etc.  I thought a pseudo-exacerbation would clear up once you were no longer fatigued/hot/whatever the cause was.

Thanks for any clarification.  I know this isn't a relapse; should it go away within 24 hours?

Our bedroom a/c died last wee and my husband made a comment about "well, we've gone without a/c before".  heh heh ... he then picked one up that evening and installed it, thank goodness.  He must have seen the worried look on my face ...

I was going to say pseudo's can last....as long as a piece of string :D

Pseudo's in the Summer heat can definitely sneak up on you, you can think your doing ok but a few more minutes and bam, your wiring's misfiring again but sometimes its more of the yoyo effect because once your fried, it doesn't take much to bring it back again, so your up and down, up and down...

We had a record braking 10 day heat wave over here and our aircon decided it was the perfect timing to stop working, lol DH for some reason couldn't get it into his head that there was something wrong with it but by the third day, i was so obviously in trouble he was up on the roof pulling the aircon apart until 2 in the morning. That was a hard lesson to learn but now we all understand what will happen to me if i can't get cool enough, rest enough etc

Hugs babe.....JJ

The fact that you didn't have a good night's sleep may be exacerbating the problem.

True!  So that would be why it didn't resolve within a few hours I guess.  I laid low today inside ...

I'm positive it's heat induced.  From what you are saying, then, it should last less than 24 hours.  Good. :)

I'm not sure, but if it lasts much longer, I think a call to your doc is in order. The definition of a relapse is new Sx or worsening of old Sx lasting longer than 24 hours. I forget how far a part it needs to be from your last relapse, too, but I don't think that's an issue for you.

Sorry to hear you aren't doing well :(
