Hyperintense region on cerebellum in PROP T2 TRF image?

I am a 33-yr-old with chronic pain and chronic fatigue. MRI scan today was to follow up on possible seizure activity viewed on EEG during sleep study (polysomnography). I have not spoken to my doctor, but my father (a radiologist) insists that all of the images look "normal". I am not feeling so confident. Can anyone please give me some feedback on this image, PROP T2 TRF?

Hi Kate - Welcome to the group.

There are no doctors here, radiologist or otherwise. Reading MRI's is a skill that takes years to master. Just ask your father :-)

20 years ago, during what turned out to be my first MS episode, I was sent to get images of my brain. This was Pre-CD and I picked up the films to bring to my neurologist. I sat in my car and pulled them out. The first thing I saw was a large black spot right at the base of my brain.

That's it, I thought. Brain Tumor! I'm a gonner! When I got tot the doctor he but the film up into the light box. He immediately pointed to the exact same black spot. "Your blood flow looks excellent." he said. :-)

That was the last time I practiced radiology :-)

Thanks, Kyle. I was hoping someone would have had a similar-looking image to compare with mine and the outcome. Well I've seen the doc, and yes, it's all normal.

I guess I'll give up the fight of trying to find a reason for my fibromyalgia. I feel like a failure though, settling for a diagnosis that is misunderstood by the majority of people, including my father. I'm biting the bullet to deal with the "crazy" and "all in my head" stereotypes. :/
