Hi,
I've been totally imobile, this episode more obvious because i was struggling to get even a scrape and drag step out of my feet, my ex was helping me get to bed when they just wouldn't move at all anymore. It lasted 3 days of more imobility than movement, i have to say it was quite frightening because i had also lost communication as well, i felt really locked in.
Over the years i've have something similar happen but less dramatic and i've always attributed it to being overly fatigued, I'm so heavy i cant move. Sometimes i wake up but it can take a good half hour before i can move my body, even my eyelids wont open sometimes. I'm sure its just a part of the fatigue because i feel heavy, when i was totally imobile i didn't feel anything they just wouldn't move.
I'm not dx 'yet' but it only seems to happen when i'm having one of my episodes, funny that :)
Cheers......JJ
I have experienced episodes of weakness/paralysis, mainly in my right side. Most of the time I can move through an event: for example, I can walk to a chair - if I concentrate. The episodes often "come on" gradually, so I can remove myself from crowds, etc; however, I have been completely surprised and "frozen" to the sidewalk . . . unable to lift my foot from the ground. I've never discovered what to call these episodes or what causes them. They tend to be brief in duration, but often leave my right side weak for a day or two later. In the beginning I thought I was having strokes or seizures . . . I now have an MS diagnosis. Fortunately I have not had any events in over a year. I assume I was in a flare when I had them.

Hi Sheriberi,
Welcome to our forum here - this is a great community and I hope you will find plenty of companionship and help her. I just read your notes and see you did the trip through limboland for a long time - what a journey.
I am glad you have found a doctor your like and has taken you and your symptoms serious enough to find the cause. Having MS is no picnic, but there are lots of other things that could be worse.
Personally I don't have experience with paralysis, but others here do. How long do your episodes last? Of course I'm sure you have talked to your wonderful doctor about this problem.
Welcome again and I hope we will see you back here regularly.
my best,
Lulu
