I'm back to say hi

Hi everyone!  I have been on leave from the forum because I decided to not focus on my symptoms for awhile.  I have been taking Provigil and it has helped with my fatigue which is my biggest problem, but lately it's not working as well.  I have also avoided my doctor but had to go in for a med check.  So, now I'm being faced with having to do more testing because of some chest pain I've been having.  I've had it for awhile but it's gotten worse in the last couple of months.  I REALLY don't want to go thru more testing, and I don't know what to do.

This last week was very busy and I got very worn out and had a new little symptom pop up.  I kept thinking something was stuck to the bottom of my big left toe and kept trying to wipe it off until I realized my toe was just numb.  It's been numb for several days now, but is starting to get better I think.  My electric shocks in my hands that I get when I bend my head forward also showed up when I got so worn out.

I'm really, really sick of this.  I was doing pretty good and making some work plans for the summer, now I don't know if I'll even be able to work because of how bad I feel.  It used to be I'd have good days and bad days, and now it seems most days I'm too tired to function very well.  I am on 2 antidepressants in addition to the Provigil which have helped some, but no matter how "happy" I feel I still have all these strange symptoms and life altering fatigue.

Just needed to vent some, missed everyone, probably won't stick around long, but want you all to know how much I appreciate this forum.

Hi, Sandpuff. Nice to see you again. I know it's a hassle to get the chest pains sorted out, but you really must do it. I hope you will..

I have pain in my legs somewhat like yours, but it's in the backs of both thighs. I had thought it was from over-excercising so I gave myself an exercise vacation. That hasn't helped. They ache and ache, and feel very tight. (Once again, symmetric, like nearly all my leg and foot stuff.)

Please do stick around here. I know that avoiding the whole thing is tempting, but that doesn't work in the long run.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!  I had a stressful week last week that I think set off 2 new symptoms and so it was nice to be able to come here and talk.  I can talk to my sister about all this, but I am keeping it quiet with everyone else in my life.

I don't know what to do about the chest pain. From MRI's I know that I do have mild to moderate cervical spondylosis and I am wondering if that's what is causing it.  I got a message from my doctor's nurse on Friday that she wants to do some testing for the chest pain, but I don't want to do it.  I know I should, but I just don't want to be put through all that again.  I'm supposed to call back this morning and I don't know what I'm going to say.

I've noticed the only time I get the L'Hermitte's is when I'm extremely worn out, and that's when my toe went numb, too.  My left pinky is still kind of numb but the toe is better.  Yes, Quix, the numbness was weird!  I seriously kept trying to wipe something off my toe!

I wanted to ask you something if I can, I have had calf pain that started about 4 months ago and it is not going away.  I feel it most if I exercise, and some days are better than others.  If I jog they get pretty bad, but otherwise it doesn't really affect how I walk, so I don't even try to jog.  I just think that it's not normal because the only exercise I normally do is my chores of feeding horses and cleaning stalls, so it's not like I'm using those muscles to make them stiff and sore.  I mentioned the pain to my doctor and she just said to let her know if it gets worse.  I've noticed if I have a big day of any sort they are worse, and my right calf has even gotten sore from driving to where it hurt bad enough I couldn't wait to get home.  Any thoughts?

I have MISSED you!  I'm so glad to see you, but hoped the next time would be with a report of being symptomless or with a diagnosis.  I wish you could/would stay, though I do understand the mental health issue of ignoring it all for a while.

Yes, get any chest discomfort checked out - as spoken by Lulu who has lived through a heart attack.

the L'Hermitte's is still pointing toward MS as is the numb toe.  Real numbness sure feels weird, doesn't it?  I get that occasionally on the toes of my right foot.

Please stay and talk a while and meet the new people.

(((HUGS)))
