MS? Anything else?

Hi there, I'm about to turn 18 in 2 weeks and I'm a female.  I have been waking up with my left arm and hand numb multiple times during the night. I've been getting these twitches all around my body for 1.5 months now, on both sides, all over. I see no patterns with the twitching, but it happens hundreds of times a day and I really can't ignore that. Walking down stairs I feel shaky although it's not visible to the naked eye, or anything really with bending. When I was trying to carry a carton of orange juice my hand was also shaky too, but this has really decreased now for some reason and I have more strength. My eye sight is fine. Even though it's basically stopped now, my hands had a time when they were pretty shaky, especially when I would move this a certain way. The beginning of all of this was about 1.5 months ago. Please someone help, I've never been worried like this in my life.

I really hope you're right. I have taken that into consideration too, because you're right when you say that it hasn't really been in one place, which is a large part of MS. Thank you very much for your reply and it does help me feel a bit more relaxed.

I have seen my doctor, but that was just when the eye twitching had started and I did bring it up but she very quickly blew it off as nothing big. I can't blame her since at the time it was only eye twitching, but as you can see it's progressed quite a lot into something else. I booked another appointment for Monday and I promise to keep this updated!

Hi Lite - Welcome to the group.

I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it. What you describe does not sound like MS to me, but I'm not a doctor.

The way MS works is that it attacks individual locations in the central nervous system. this means that symptoms tend to be localized. You may have tingling/numbness in your right arm. The location of the MS attack does not change, so your symptoms would be confined to your right arm. MS does not cause "All over" symptoms.

Have you seen a doctor?
