Intermittent Cold Spot above knee

Hi,

Over the past 2 days I have been experiencing a clod spot in the same placejust above my knee.
It lasts about 10 seconds but is becoming more frequent all the time.
It feels like a draught of cold air hitting the skin, would anyone have come across something like this before?
Hoping it's not the start of something more serious..

Thanks,

Brendan.

Many people both with and without MS have intermittent paresthesias (altered sensations) like you describe. Often a cause is never identified, so if you don't have other symptoms, I wouldn't worry.

This caught my eye because I have "cold" spots on my legs, too. For many years I've had periods of a "drafty" spot on my lower left shin. Now it's strong cold sensations on the outside of my thighs, often after changing position.

I don't seem to have MS, though it had been suspected previously (on the basis of many other symptoms--Lhermitte's, facial shocks, numerous other paresthesias, etc.).

But I've heard several people in my personal life with no other problems describe an unexplained paresthesia in one particular spot that lasted weeks or months and then went away. Hopefully that will be the case with you.

Hi Shell,

Although I don't have MS, it is in the family history and I'm just a little concerned as I've been researching this issue which has led me to MS regarding this coldness in the leg etc...
