My daughter and I finally got our NIH appointments scheduled. This is good news as we thought we would have to wait several months.
Trying to order meds on line to save money - can't afford the high costs of just one pill. Then began to revise a book (fiction) I wrote so I can get an agent (Cross my fingers), making progress and feeling better. Still don't know what is wrong with me but waiting till I have the money to go to a specialist for an expert opinion.
I go to my 2nd appt. with the psychologist just to prove to the drs I'm not crazy or anxious then on Aug 4th I go back to my GP(that should be interesting).
Last night: had the second 40th birthday party for my husband. Lots of fun, and lots to EAT. My mother sent lobsters and prawns from Nova Scotia which was a major treat.
Today: going to see physiotherapist about my ankle. Still pretty swollen and I'm certain I'm overdoing it. So I expect to be lectured.
Tomorrow: head off on a road trip with my husband's family who are visiting from PEI. 3 nights in Calgary then 5 in beautiful Banff surrounded by the Rockies. Can't wait. No long hikes for me unfortunately, due to this stupid ankle injury. But still happy to be going and relaxing, bringing an armload of books with me.
I can't believe the summer is already half over. :( Three weeks vacation goes by SO fast!
Sleep deprivation has typically been counterproductive for me, Alex, but I pray it's not for you.
I've had a month's worth of things going on in the past four days, but nothing medical of note. The rest of the week promises to be a bit less frenetic, Lord willing. Endocrinology all reports good, so far. I have nothing medical scheduled for quite a while yet. Eyes are hurting some again, though.
Peace & blessings to all.
Monday spent day trying to get my poor kitty cat some help from vet for painful bladder
Also have to stay up for 36 hours straight. Dr. thinks sleep deprivation may reset brain from depression
Tuesday support group
Wednesday Obama is in Town for Health Care Town Hall. Applied for tickets as soon as they were available but I was not chosen. Will probably along the route with my sign that says I can't afford MS. I made the News last weeks protesting BCBSNC
Thursday chronic illness talk therapist

Today, picked up my rx and a package before the heat wave started, as well as some frozen yogurt, sandwich stuff, etc.
Tomorrow, I plan on staying in the cool; it's supposed to be even hotter than today (103 so far today).
Wednesday, I go to the dentist to get my permanent crowns seated; I'll be able to eat normal food again soon!
Rest of week, try to stay cool, work on some paperwork, like reply to the letter from the OHSU Integrity Office, update my timeline and records, etc.
Oh, and have some fun! Listen to good music, maybe dance a little, watch a movie or two, laugh as much as possible, etc.
And, of course, check in with my forum family!
oops - fat fingers again - that should read 'stay in the same house'
Monday - assessment by Access to Work for any equipment / help I need and back massage - not by the same person - lol
Tuesday - appt with counselor - paid for by work!!
Friday - off on holiday with my husband, daughter, son in law and 2 gorgeous grandchildren to dtay7 in the same house for a week at the seaside - and knowing the UK mainly in the rain!! but I still get spoiled.
Pat
So swamped right now I'll have to get back to you on this later in the week.
Best of luck to all of you on your appointments:o).
I'm just trying to gather everything I need for my initial appointment with my new neurologist next week.
Monday - Appt with so-called Neuro-Psych
Thrusday - Heart Catherization
Well, I'm back from a week at a very hot guitar camp - moved very slowly, and limited myself to 2 classes only, and glad I did! Totally fun, and knowing my limitations made it even more fun, because I wasn't over-doing it!
Work, tomorrow, and then a white water rafting trip with my sister and friends. It promises to be hotter'n'ell, so, maybe on the flat sections of river I'll just have the oars rigs drag me through the water (I wear my PFD at all times) to keep cool, LOL! Rapids are always a blast because you can't help being splashed and cooled! My Rebif has been very easy to travel with, and inject correctly. Minimal side effects, so far, and I'm up to 22 mcg this week.
Have a good week!

Lulu & Everyone,
Good luck at your 6 month f/u appointment. I will think of you tomorrow. I am proud to say that I have started my list for my neuro appointment on Aug. 6th! :) I only have 2 questions, but hey it is a start! A massage sounds wonderful - enjoy it!
Other than think of questions for my neuro appt. - just trying to survive our heat wave here in WA state. Going to be in the mid nineties all week (which means that at my house we will be closer to 100). I am so thankful that my Husband & I decided to get a heat pump installed in our house last summer (during another heat wave). It has been a real blessing. Keeps our house a nice 68 to 72 degrees even on the hottest days.
Hope everyone has a healthy, happy week!
Chrisy

Enjoy your trips!

Friday or Saturday- Fly down to FL to visit relatives.

I may be a bit scarce around here this week -
Monday I have my 6-month followup with the neuro in Columbus. I'm also doing the first study interview for the Acceleerated Cure Project which will take a couple hours and mass quantities of blood- I'll write more about that later.
Tuesday-Thursday - DH has business in Cleveland and I'm going to do a ride-along. I hope to meet up with one of our forum members, as well as a heart sister who is in CC for some tests.
Friday is my massage therapy and I have booked an extra long session, figuring I am due some extra treatment time.
Of course I'll have my lap top handy, but I'm not sure how much time I will have to use it!
