Legs...

Does it drive anyone else crazy having legs that feel like they weigh a ton? Atrophy ***** also.....Right when I was diagnosed I was with my day, there was a car in front of us with a sticker that stated "MS gets on my nerves". I have loved that for years now....I wanted it tatted on my forehead....

Not only yes but  H3ll yes!  I told my physical therapist I felt like a 500 pound elephant was sitting on my legs.  He smiled and said, "that is little for an elephant" and I said, "I wish I knew a little elephant hunter".

Some days are worse or should I say better than others, glass half empty or glass half full?

Yes!  My legs weigh a ton! And I get so tired of feeling like I am living on Jupiter!!!  My legs tell me I must weigh about 650 pounds!!  Since when did the gravity pull change so drastically on this planet??  Have lost muscle strength in the hip flexors.  Using a walker and a cane.  Is it time to check out motorized scooters???

I HAVE SEEN A STICKER THAT SAYS "I'M DISABLED GET ******* USED TO IT AS I HAVE" BUT THOUGHT BETTER OF PUTTING IT ON MY CAR I LOVE CAR STICKERS AND T-SHIRTS LIKE THAT THOUGH.

I HATE SPASM THEY MAKE MY MUSCLES FEEL FILLED WITH CONCRETE.

I like the idea of MS slogans.  "MS gets on my nerves" and "I'm not drunk.."!!!  I love 'em.  I'm sure we could all come up with some if we put our brains to it, at least the part of our brains that haven't been taken over by lesions.

My legs during the day are he$% to deal with.  Then about an hour before I go to bed I take my meds, stuff too strong to take during the day, and then I get heavenly bliss knocked out so I can sleep.  My neuro is taking good care of me in that department.

I think i hate the constant spasticity more, my legs are heavy in the begining of an episode but when that changed to the spasticity its more upsetting and tiring for me to deal with. I'm skinny, pale, unkept (hair wild, clothes for ease of getting on not style)slurred speach, swaying and twitching and now jerking too, i'm absolutely positive i was sent home from hospital once (first MS Hug)because they thought i was a drugy looking for pain meds, very humiliating!

Oh i'm a conservative lady, always known for how well i dress because it makes me feel good to 'think' i still look good even though i feel like a mess, not for anyone else but i want the t.shirt that says F##k MS i'm sure that would raise a few eyebrows around here.

Cheers......JJ

Haha freaking classic. I need a shirt like that. I am sure most folks think I am on drugs or totally freaking smashed whenever they see me, has nothing to do with my gait it has to do with how talkative I am and how spacey I get from the **** my neuro gives me....

I saw a t-shirt the other day that sais " I'm not drunk  I hve MS". After the flunked neuro exams I realized if I ever got pulled over they would arrest me for DUI due to the inability to pass their roadside drunk test so if I'm ever offiicially dx'd thats the 1s thing I'm going to buy lol!
