thank you so much. i dont know whats happening. doctors says everything is fine.thanks for your advice its really helpful. will be joining chronic pain community. thanks again
Hi and welcome,
I'm not going to try to work out your brain MRI techno babble, there's nothing relating to MS standing out to me either though...keep in mind that there are more common medical issues that cause the 'symptoms' you've mentioned , so IF your neurological assessment, MRI, nerve conductor tests, visual tests etc are not suggestive or consistent with a neurological condition like MS, it's more likely that your dealing with something else instead...
Unfortunately the cause of someone's chronic pain isn't always identifiable, sometimes it can be traced by to a prior injury, infection or surgery and sometimes for what ever reason the brains perception of pain goes off track.
Chronic pain is still poorly understood, even strong pain medication can actually make the pain even worse for some people, so i would highly recommend you consider consultation with an actual pain clinic and consider joining medhelps chronic pain community, who are very nice and will have a wealth of information and experience....
Hope that helps........JJ
i also not able to find any doctor. i have chronic calf muscle pain, back pain and pain in eyes. they send me to different doctors saying your mri is fine. i dont know anyone has such symptoms.
Hopefully someone will come along. We have no doctors on the forum just people who have had these reports. If it were MS it would say something about demylenation or lesions on the ventricles. It just says your ventricles are normal size. It mostly says your brain is normal.
When do you see the doctor who ordered the report? Mine left town so I got another doctor to explain mine. The images are magnetic so they are not like pictures. It has to be interpreted by a radiologist or a neurologist. They go by history and symptoms.
Your neurologist tells the radiologist what they are looking for. MS MRIs are done a certain way with and with out contrast and with many slices or pictures.
My first MRI was looking for two fatal conditions. It did not have as many slices or pictures. They still found the MS. I had lesions on the ventricles. I had something called Dawson's fingers which is classic to MS.
It took me months to find a doctor to read it to me. I looked everything I could on the computer. I thought things were way worse because I did not understand.
Alex
can you recommend someone who can give me correct advice on it.
I do not see anything to do with MS. I do not understand the full report. Mostly it says your brain is normal. It does not sound like they were looking for MS specifically from the report. May be someone else understands the jargon better than I do.
