MS Hug - symptom of anything else?

Hi everyone,

I have a question about the girdle band sensation.
I've been Googling it, and the only information that comes up is about MS.
My question is - can the MS Hug be a symptom of anything else?
Other symptoms I've had are tingling, numb patches, intercostal pain, fatigue, numb, tingling arms (both), constipation (extremely unusual for me) around the same time as the girdle sensation, heat sensitivity & more I can't remember.
Ive had two clear MRI's & neuro exams.

Thanks, Zel.

I would take a look at the symptoms for Vitamin B12 Deficiency. Also magnesium malate supplement may help the type of pain you have. You're fortunate to be cleared of an MS diagnosis.  It sounds like you have something going on that affects the nervous system, so I would recommend focusing on foods and supplements that support the nervous system.

My neuro says that the girdle band sensation can come from any injury to the spinal cord, be it MS lesions, disk issues, etc.... My neuros aren't the best ever, from what I've been reading, but that's what they say.

Have you had an MRI of the cervical and thoracic spine?  This would help ruling out disk issues or other problems on the spinal cord.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.
