I hope all went well for you today!  I am 4 weeks out from screw fixation placement in my L 5th metatarsal.  It went pretty well; really a fairly minor surgery, with just a small hitch in removing some excess scar tissue(which meant another small incision and more bruising/pain).

Recovery is going well, the hardest part is no weight-bearing for 8 weeks!!!  I am halfway through, and it has gone faster than I expected-thankfully.  I would highly recommend the knee walker(i.e. knee caddy) that I have been using most of the time-SOOO much easier than crutches, esp. with weakness and spasms in my arms and torso!!!

Good luck with your recovery, and keep in touch when you're able!

Be well,

Jen

Hey, Johnniebear. You're mid-surgery, now, Chicago-time. Hope everything goes smoothly for you, and that healing time is quick as can be.

Don't give up on being the Bears' kicker this year---just use your other foot!

Best wishes,
ess
