MS symptoms? When to seek doctor

Hey everyone
Lately I've noticed something strange. It feels like a prick with a needle in different parts of my body, randomly. Not at more parts at the same time, and lasts for less than a second. Then just gone. I guess I get it once a day or so, maybe not everyday.
No family history of MS. No other symptoms other than I found out i needed glasses. I'm 21, both my parents had to have glasses at a young age, and i turned out my little sister needed glasses too.

But of course I had to google it.. And now I'm worried.
Is it something to worry about..?

Thank you. Saw a neurologisk. He said the very same thing and wasn't worried. But I still get those spasms and occasionally pins and needles. Still everywhere. And now sometimes pain in joints and muscles too. But soreness and actual pain. Especially in my right hand in the tumb region. It's very strange to me..
My bloodtest showed I was low in iron and ferritin. And my vitamin B12 og D was just in the edge.
My doctor said my bloodtests were normal, I just found out by looking myself. Could this still be an explanation..? Started eating more healthy and taking iron and vitamin B and D supplements a week ago. Still No change in my symptoms.

Hi and welcome,

There is a HUGE leap you'd of had to have made to get to MS from something that only lasts a second, googling symptoms can lead people way off the right path and cause a lot of unnecessary anxiety....

Symptoms that last a second, that are random, that are all over the body, that are in all peripheral limbs etc are all basic red flags that point away from a neurological condition MS. Visual symptoms are very common in MS but the types of visual issues that are suggestive/consistent would Optic Neuritis, Diplopia, Nystagmus.

Whilst you haven't mentioned why you need glasses, the type of visual situation you've more likely experienced is likely related to your family history of needing glasses, and a one of the most common visual issue eg Myopia is the term used to define short sightedness and Hypermetropia defines long sightedness etc

Hope that helps.....JJ

Thank you very much, so you don't think I have anything to worry about?
Going to the doctor today, he thinks I may have a vitamin deficiency.
And I have promised myself never to Google symptoms again..
Forgot to mention i get random muscle contractions too. Everywhere, eg. my foot just flips up suddenly.
Contractions that's out og my control
A vitamin deficiency (eg B12, iron) would be the most common explanations for any age group for what your experiencing, muscle spasms that are all over (everywhere) and random would be more suggestive/consistent with a vitamin deficientcy than a neurological condition like MS.....if your meaning, i think you don't have MS to worry about, then yes because what you've mention is highly unlikely related to anything like MS and much more likely to be something else eg a vitamin deficiency, stress, anxiety, sleep deprivation etc
