I am once again hoping I am not bothering anyone.. but today is thursday and I have been up most of the night with pain and misery. I feel like no one is listening to me on the doctors end. I just want answers and sleep... will this pain ever go away and if not can I take anything over the counter to help it??? Just a little relieve would be better than none.

I have to be referred to a neurologist by my insurance and I am hoping and praying that my pcp will do that tomorrow. i just want to make it through today but if the pain doesnt ease up when husband gets home I will go to emergency room i cant stay up again tonight for day three. You all are my angels and thanks so much. I hope some day I am as intelligent as you all are on MS so maybe some day I can help too. For now I will just wait diagnosis and try to bear the pain.

I hope its o.k. if I jump in .    Maybe calling your pcp and explaining that you are in lots of pain and  couldn't sleep last night .  You do have an appt tomorrow but don't know how you''ll manage through another night of it .  Couldn't they please give you just a couple until you see the doc .  They really should be able to help you. I AGREE WITH YOUR DAD IF THE PAIN GETS OVER BEARING THEN ITS TIME FOR MEDICAL INTERVENTION.

MAKE YOUR DR. LISTEN TO YOU,I FINALLY TOLD MY NEURO THAT I WASN'T GETTING ANY RELEIF FROM MY PREVIOUS PAIN MED,SO HE CHANGED IT.

MANY NEURO'S DON'T BELEIVE THAT MS CAUSES PAIN,SOME NEURO'S ARE COMING AROUND.

I REALIZE YOU ARE SEEING A NEURO-OPTHAMOLOGIST,HAVE YOU GIVEN IT A THOUGHT TO SEE A NEURO THAT SPECIALIZES IN MS.

You would think that my doctors do know since I have stressed it over and over. The neuro-  opthamologist nurse just called and moved my LP up till the 29th and I again said about the pain. She told me to talk to my primary doctor and I have an appointment tomorrow with her. But I dont know if I can deal with it today. I am trying I really am. My dad says to go to the emergency room but been there done that and they dont do anything either. I guess I will make it through today and pray for tomorrow. Thanks again for all your help

Have you dsicussed with your doctor about your unbearable pain?  You don't have to go through life suffering like this.

It may be time for something stronger than over the counter medication.  Sometimes our pain cannot be controlled with a Tylenol or Aleve tablet...don't you agree?

Please tell me that your doctor knows what you are going through.  If he isn't listening to you, then perhaps it's time to find some that will.

I really feel for you.  Lack of sleep only makes the pain worse.  Please keep up posted about your progress with your doctor.
