MY Thoracic and lumbar spine mri,, found em:)

Hi,, I found 2 of my back mri's.. so I'm going to post them hoping Quix or someone can tell me something,, even though I did ask my Neurologist if my numbness and tingling etc, etc could be because of my back she said. NO,,

makes NO sense to me at all!!!!!

OK here we go,,

A Small circumscribed T2 hyperintense, T1hypointense suspected lipid-poor hemangioma of the L4 body. The terminal cord is normal in caliber, signal intensity. Minimal posterior dependent subcutaneous lumbosacral edema is noted,,,?????  Mild to moderate desiccation to several of the lower thoracic disc is evident. what is that????? lol

Moderate degenerative disc space narrowing is present at the throacolumbar junction T9 and T10 and at the L5 and S1.  There are minimal bread based posterior disc bulges at the T9/T10and T10/T11levels indenting the ventral thecal sac.

AT L4/5  there is a mild broad based posterior disc bulge with extends into the inferior formina. Mild facet and ligamentous hypertrophy are present resulting in mild left foraminal narrowing. the right foramen is maintained.

AT L5/S1 there is a broad based posterior disc bulge and superimposed right paracentral protusion associated with concave deformity of the ventral theacal sac without evidence of significant central, lateral recess..... WHAT THE HE@#???

ALSO ABOUT THE suspected LIPID POOR HAMANGIOMA. plain FILM OF CT CORRELATION IS SUGGESTED.. WHICH I HAVE NOT DONE.
oh yea all this was done on a T15 1.5telsa??

This mri is old,, it was done in 2006 I've had another one my Neuro wanted and haven't got a copy YET..
Any comments??  Please?????? :)

Ray

Hi to everyone.

just got home working a 10 hour shift, I'm sooooo tired i could cry, my legs hurt so bad, I bought some new shoes and some tight stockings,, and I cant imagine not having them because honestly i hurt so bad.

I just pray I can continue working,  I have feeling some days that I may not be able to much longer, But I soooooo enjoy my job.  Makes me feel like I'm helping others, I treat all patients like I would want to be treated and really enjoy it

A Co-worker told me one day,,, "Ray your tooo NICE,, You CARE too much!!!!"

Oh Lord I hope and Pray I NEVER change!!!!!!  How can you be too nice?  or care to much???

I don't think there is any way!!!!!!!!!

I love this forum.  I love everyone here.  I've learned allot and I know that no matter what I'll be OK,, heck we all will, We have each other,

Hugs and Prayers

Thank you to EVERYONE!!!!!!

I've looked a few things up on the spine-health and I'm really confused as to why my ortho doc sent me to a neurologist... because it says with My Mri report some of the (stuff) lol i have in my back can definitely cause numbness and tingling???

i';m telling ya this is so frustrating. So at my next appointment I'm going to ask all sorts of questions.
This is why I wonder that just maybe the ortho doc saw something suspicious on my MRI's and then sent me to the Neurologist?

Dont know!!!

Boy so glad I have FAITH

Love and Hugs to you all

Thank you Quix,, I know your tired and not feeling all that well. Its ok.

I know it doesent look like MS,  but what I dont understand is why the (heck) lol

did they send me to a Orthopedic Doc then he send me onto a MS Neurologist?
anyway time will tell I guess.  Quix it might not look so bad,  but i'll tell you my back pain is so damned bad sometimes I just want to cry!!!

I'm going to look into PT like  Pat suggested.  Its gotta help some.

I really don't like to try to interpret "spine" MRI's.  I just don't know much about them.

I'll look again tomorrow and see if I have anything to say, but, it is not such a bad report.  There is also nothing to sucggest MS.

Thank you guys so very much, I too agree with you all, and Pat yes I did get your email. Thank you soooooooo very much!!!!

I was first sent to a Orthopedic Specialist.  He saw all my mri's etc,, He is the one who sent me to The MS specialist.  So this is why I don't understand?????  Does she see something on the mri??  Did he see something then send me to her??????  Are all my back problems causing all the numbness and tingling?  The extreme brain Fog, the Fatigue, the weakness in my legs?  the deep pain in my legs?  Today new symptom tingling in my upper lip... oh boy another!!!!!

I dont know.  then the nonspecific brain lesions????

Oh I just want answeres!!!  You know what i'm saying???

I love you guys. you are so thoughtful and I like the fact that I can come here and talk with people who understand what i'm going threw.

Being there for eachother,

Love to you all
Ray

I'll tell you I'm so frusterated!!!!!!!

I also recommend Spine-Health.com.  It does explain alot.

How is your posture?  Do you find yourself walking with a slight bend forward?
My therapist also found that my SI joint was out of alignment (that doesn't show on an MRI).  That caused symptoms as well which were remedied when I was put back in alignment.  My SI joint is unstable and has to be re-aligned frequently.  I'm at the point where I can tell if it's out again.

If the one MRI is from 2006, I'd definitely ask for the copy of the report from the recent MRI that your neuro has.  You are entitled to a copy of it!!!

Yeah, I agree with the above.   Your back has alot of stiff going on with it, just like I thought (did you happen to get my email?).

If this neuro won't do anything about your back, you need to go to someone else who will.  I really think your back has much to do with your symptoms, like it does in my case with my issues.    Getting some PT may help.

Take care and please keep us updated!

Maggie is right on with her information.  Your spine shows alot of changes and some emproahment into the spinal space, narrowing the spinal space, called spinal stenosis.

You most definitely need to be seeing someone that specializes in the spine to try and help you sort all of this out.

GREAT advice Maggie.  Right on.

Best Wishes,
Heather

Disc dessication, as per Spinal Health website, says disc dessication is when discs are black on a MRI due to lack of water in disc. Hope that helps!.Maggie

As you have already figured out, you have a mess in your back! LOL You show a lot of degenerative changes, especially in your lower back. I too would question if these disc bulges and the desiccation of your lower thoracic discs might be causing your symptoms.  You might check out Spine-Health.com. It has a lot of wonderful information and links to look up  these problems in your spine. I think I would want a second opinion about causation of your symptoms. Good luck, and prayers, Maggie
